Title: How much do you target to earn in a session?
Post by: albalaha on Jun 13, 01:51 AM 2011
Whether you go to a landbased casino or play online, you do have a minimum target to earn in a session when you conclude your game. Can you explain your target earning with respect to your bankroll in terms of percentage?

So far is my target earning is concerned I want to earn at least 100% of my bankroll (too much, isn't it?)

Hi!

My target is £50 a day broken into 5 sessiuons of £10. I work from home, so I can log on and play for a session of about 30 mins to an hour, it wworks pretty well now im not playing it like a rudderless ship in a storm. I used to play very random, that didnt work so well!

It's way too much. Your bankroll should be cut into five to six equal amounts that you will only risk one of in any session. You should have a method that you know you are prepared to use before you begin to bet. That includes the MM that you will use. You should only attempt to win 20% of your session bankroll. If you stay long enough to win 100% you will be there for the downturns.  No matter what happens you must have an exit strategy for losses. You must avoid steep downturns. Get Up, leave the table. Come back when it is favorable to your method. When you reach your 20% only stay if you are in a steep upturn. Otherwise get up, leave the table. When you get used to leaving, after reaching your goal, then you will have power over this game that you own. It's better to own this game than to have it own you.

You need to forget about happiness. You need to react to what happens in the session. You can't get 20% every time if you are expecting to get 100%. Don't believe me. Go for it. There is no better lesson in life than real playing experience.

What im saying is 20% is the target. On a day when everything is falling into place, maybe more than 20%. On a day when everything is going wrong, less than that sometimes even settling for a loss.

At the same time, whats wrong with being happy when i win??? i absolutely hate it when i lose and love it when i win. Doesnt anyone else?? Of course that doesnt mean letting your emotions cloud your judgement though.

cheers giz thanks for the advice
