The Puritan streak is still alive and well in 21st century US of A.

Trying to prohibit/curtail online gambling in the US is a bit like trying to knead mercury by hand -- it's always going to slip through the cracks.

No lessons seemed to have been learned from the days of Prohibition.

Why the US legislators don't try to work with the industry, rather than against it, beats me.
