I recently came across a very interesting roulette betting system called Dopey's experiment. I've had heard of it, but there was a detailed explanation and I wonder has anyone ever tried it? For those who are not aware- here it is :
The Dopey Experiment is another Roulette Betting System described by Andres Martinez, a lawyer and Wall Street Journal Reporter, in his wonderful book "24/7: Living It Up and Doubling Down in the New Las Vegas." The system does not promise to make you rich or even to come out ahead. It is simply a way to have fun gambling real money at the roulette table. The System has some superstitious pattern, while magic numbers are engaged.
The rules of playing are very easy - with the Dopey Experiment, you take your roulette bankroll and divide it into 35 equal units. You then choose one roulette number (as for Mr. Martinez, he picked his wife's birthday â€" 22), and bet one unit on that number for 35 uninterrupted spins of the roulette wheel. If you win during that time (and there is a more than 60% percent chance that you will), you continue playing, still betting one unit on your specific number, but with the satisfaction of knowing that you are betting with not your money, but the casino’s. hi! thanks for sharing,
I would be quite nervous using this strategy personally, for instance on Super casino right now
the number 16 hasnt come up for 189 spins 27 for 185, and 23 for 138. Imagine if I had picked one of those numbers!
Hi LuckyLucy,
after having read your reply, you really do seem lucky to me not to have chosen one of those numbers :P thanks for sharing :)
Ah very true!
But if we all plant acorns hopefully one of us will grow an oak tree! So thanks again for sharing.
