I have been meaning to post a simple bet selection method I have been using on and of for quite a while now, it is so easy you don't even need to right anything down while playing, all the information you need is on the scoreboard.
I plays just as well on Baccarat as it dose on Roulette, Here goes
You look back over the last three spins/hands
If you see AAA bet A
If you see AAB bet B
If you see ABB bet B
If you see ABA bet B
That's it nothing else to it, now we all know ever bet selection method has it's weak point and my bet selection method it is this pattern AABAABAAB that is the only pattern that can produce a long losing streak, and yes it has happened in the past, but not enough to stop me making a consistant profit with this simple method.
I have attached two session I played over the last two days, on William Hill, slingshot Roulette.
Sitting one played two mini sessions +10, +2 = +12
Sitting two played three mini sessions +8, +8, +10 = +26
Total +38 units, using the pdf attached to this post.
I use one tweak I play exactly as laid out in the ebook, but I only aim for +10 units for each session, is use a critical spin, so for example if I am at +8 and the next bet if would would take me to or over +10 win or lose I would start a new mini session or leave the table.
Using this very simple method I can average between +10 to +20 units an hour on slingshot, that includes my losing sessions.
I do this without any crazy progression!
I have looked at lots of different things to do when I hit a loss of two or more in a row, like go into virtual mode ec. But I think it is best to just ride out the losing string.
My stop-loss stops me losing two much, on thing if I was playing a mini session and it hit the stop-loss, then I would go into virtual mode and only start real money betting, when I get a WW or WLW when in virtual mode
What I love about this method is when a B&M casino I can just go upto a table and start betting right away without lots of tracking. Remember it does not win all the time nothing does but in the long run for me so far at least it wins a lot more than it loses, and when you see it jumps on those long winning streaks it is a great buzz.
Most people fear the terrible twos, but with this method you would get WLWLWL, remember the losing pattern for this system is AABAABAAB, knowing that will prepare you when you see it forming.

Nice idea - i thought it was very clever so I worked it out quite carefully - what happens if the last 3 are BAA? Does that mean we bet on A?
I started playing it on a live wheel and it did really well. I was waiting for AAA or BBB to come up and going from there - if the only sequence that it will fail on is AABAABAAB then with AAA in front it has to fail on AAABAABAAB. It just has another A on the front. This would mean that for that pattern to show has a 1 on 1024 chance or 0.09% chance of failing - forgetting about the zero of course.
Wouldnt it just be easier to pick a sequence of 9 A's or B's (maybe somehow randomize it) and then bet the opposite as in the matrix / pattern systems of JohnLegends?
I think its the same thing. Im going to keep playing it tho - I like the odds!
BAA is the same thing as ABB. Yes, you would bet on A according to the example you gave, but A and B can be either/or any of the EC bets as you prefer.
Regarding the extra A preceding the series of failing results, you could just as easily put any other variation of spins before the AAB without changing any aspect of this system. Since we only go back 3 spins, none of the preceding spin results will have any bearing on your game.

Hi All,
As some of you may know I have been testing/playing a merge with my bet selection method and GLC's Interrupt method.
But first a recap of the basic method looking back three hands:
AAA bet A
ABA Bet B
ABB Bet B
AAB Bet B
Killer sequence is ABBABBABBABBA I have seen this pattern continue for up to eleven spins!
Now this is how I play for the killer sequence 3 or 4 basic method losses in a row bet for the killer sequence, you have two ways of doing that, you could try and bet for the pattern to continue ABBABBA and keep betting for the pattern until a break in the pattern, or as I mainly do just bet on the B side so in the following sequence BBABBABBA I would get WWLWWLWWL, this is how I play the killer pattern most of the time but sometimes I will try and go for the whole killer pattern and go for the A part of the pattern, to get WWWWWWWWW, it's a matter of choice and how you feel your session is going, what I found though a lot of the time the AABAABAA is broken by going into AABAABAA-A so that is why most of the time I just stick to betting on the B side of the killer pattern.
Now the above is based on basic method and when I talk about going for the Killer pattern after 3/4 losses it is based on if you had just played the basic bet selection method straight.

I have also introduced a play for the 22 pattern,
ABBAA bet B for the chop to continue.
+AAABBAAB bet B for the chop to continue.

I played three sessions this morning on slingshot roulette, they ended +18, +13, +4 = +35
The +4 session ended after 13 spins due to problems on the site, it stopped updating the the results and would not allow me to place any bets, so I just called it a day, after all I had already made +35 units for less than a few hours work.
I have attached my blank Roulette/Baccarat scorecards they aver very easy to use when you are playing all you have to do is just place you unit bet size under the # column, so if in the next round you wanted to place a three unit bet for red just enter 3 and once the round is over you enter an X in the cell that won, based on where you entered your bet value and X the spreadsheet will know if your bet won or not and will update you balance for you accordingly, if you are using the roulette score card and a zero comes up just enter a Z for both R & B and the spreadsheet will know your bet lost and update your balance for you also.
When you look at the two sessions I posted you will sometimes see and I in the blank colulmn that means I have placed a Interrupt bet as per GLC's thread, and if you see a K that means I have had three basic method losses in a row and I'm playing for the killer sequence.
If you are interested in the progression I used I have attached that for to look at, I'm sure most of you have seen AC Butch's Money Management Plan before, it has been around for a long time and is freely available on the net.
One thing the CLB column is the Current Loss Balance since my last session high, in Butch's progression it states that if you have two wins in a row you then increas you bets so 2W2W3W3W4W4W ect, well if my CLB is bellow 0 then I will just place my bets based on the "If you are down x" part of the document and if I do get the CLB back to z or better and on a winning streak , will bet 3 units for a win ect. you will see examples of that in my two posted sessions, also once I get to +14 I will never place a bet that will take my CLB bellow -5, I use the CLB as a trailing stop-loss.
Also on my scorecards I have a Stage column if you use a progression that changes based on how many units you are up or down you can track that in the stage column, you start of at stage 1 and say you are down -6 and your progression calls for an increase just enter 2 in the stage column and it will reset the stage to zero so you can track your wins losses for that stage.
If you use virtual betting in your method just enter V in the blank column next the the W/L column and it will reset the bet value to zero but still track if you would have won or lost, so enter what unit value you would have placed and enter V in the blank column, the spreadsheet will take care of the rest.

Hi All,
here is my third session of the day, this was a tough session, as you can see up to spin 40 I was in negative most of the time, I use the blue marker on hand/spin 40 to gauge how my session is going, I would have been happy to exit this session at +1 or +2 as you can see I hit that a few times after spin 40, but I pressed on and ended the session at +8 with a high of +12, I felt happy to get away with that thought this session was going to be a losing one, I don't expect to win them all.
You can see more examples of how I play the interrupts and how I play with my killer sequence, when I get three basic losses in a row.

Hi All,
This morning I decided to try a little experiment, I would play three sessions and place 100 bets in each session so that means I stayed at the table for 103 spins, I would risk no more than 15 units per session and flat-bet only, I keep playing until one of two things happen I get to spin 103 or I lose my 15 unit buy-in.
Note I would not normally play this way if I was flat betting I would be happy for around a +5 or more if the table was good to me then exit, I played this way just to see how the my method with Interrupts ect. held out, of course this is not a comprehensive test I know that, but I feel it is promising.
And here are my results:
PM005 +8 with a high of +10
PM006 +15 with a high of +18
PM007 +2 with a high of +12
+25 units total flat-bet.
Average of 8.33 units per session.
Each session on slingshot took approximately one hour and twenty minutes, it took me four hours to make 25 units flat bet with a total of 309 spins.
PM005 ended with a zero on spin 103, and I took a rest break, when I went back to the same table I could see if I had stayed I would have been on a streak of 8 with a break of 1 then back on the streak with a 6! a total of +15 more points, but you have no way of knowing when a long streak is going to come along.
I don't think I need to post any-more sessions these last three give you plenty of examples how I use the methods described in my posts above.

All I can say is thank you again, I have to admit I was a bit tired after my four hour stint this morning!
It did go against the grain letting those profits disappear on my third session but a test is a test, because I was playing for 103 spins I fully expected to have a few losing sessions, I was more interested to see how much they would lose by.
Your interrupt idea and the extra killer play I have incorporated, has the Simple Trend Catcher up a few notches, I have always been happy with the results I was getting with Simple Trend, but now I am very very happy ;D

Tom, I hope I didn't violate an unspoken code between us by revealing the ambidex method. I have been testing it and it's pretty solid. The thing I like about it is that it's a positive progression so we're always in control of how many units we want to risk.
This bet selection makes it almost invincible.

Using the ambidex bet method may be too complicated especially if the bet selection system wins on a flat bet.
That would be too good to be true.
This may be more info than most of you are interested in, but if even one of you can fit it into your arsenal, it'll be worth it.

Here's our chart. It has 4 patterns. Memorize it. It's easy to do.

Start with 4 units 1 1 1 1
Bet the 1st unit. If it wins, put it on the 2nd unit like this 1 2 1 1.
Bet the 1st unit. If it wins, put it on the 4th unit and move 1 unit from the 2nd position to the 3rd position like this 1 1 2 2.
Bet the 1st unit. If it wins, put it on the 4th position like this 1 1 2 3.
Bet the 1st unit. If it wins, we have won 4 units. Goal accomplished.
But what if we don't win 4 times in a row?
We always bet the leftmost position and we always try to re-create the above positions.
We bet the 1st unit and if we lose, we bet the 2nd unit.
If we win on the 2nd unit we replace the 1st lost unit and we have 1 1 1 1 again. Start over.
If we win the 1st bet we will have 1 2 1 1. If we lose the next bet we will have X 2 1 1.
The leftmost number is 2 which we bet. If we win, we will have 6 units. We look at our chart and see what pattern is made up of 6 units. It's 1 1 2 2. That's our new pattern and we now bet the leftmost position, the 1st position or 1 unit.
Note: We only recreate our chart after a win. Everything stays in place after a loss.
If we win 2 times and then lose 2 times we will have X X 2 2. Since we just lost we don't re-arrange the units so our next bet is 2. A win here and we are re-arrange our chart to 1 1 2 2.
If we lose 3 times we will havel X X X 2. We bet the 2 and if we win we will have 4 units and anytime we have 4 units after a win, we re-create the 4 units pattern, 1 1 1 1.
If we have the 1 1 2 3 pattern and we lose 3 times in a row we will have X X X 3 so we bet 3. If we win we will have 6 units so we re-create the 6 units pattern, 1 1 2 2 and bet the 1st 1 unit bet next.
As you can see, the way we move the units around maximizes our chances of staying alive until we can win our 4 units.
This can be the foundation of a lot of betting methods to give us a better chance to walk away with a few chips.
I could stop right here. But I won't.
All we have to do is substitute this 4 unit series for a single unit. For example, let's say we're betting D'Alembert or +1 on a loss and -1 on a win. Instead of 1 unit we substitue 4 units. We play our 4 unit pattern and if we lose, that represents a 1 unit loss so we +1 and our next pattern is 2 2 2 2. We play it the same way as the 1 1 1 1 and if we win, we will have won 8 units which represents 2 units -1 unit = +1 unit. Remember a unit is = to 4 units.
The strength of the system is if you win and then lose you have X 2 1 1 If now win, you don't just recover 1 lost unit, you recover 2 and have 1 1 2 2 You used the casino's money to help you move toward winning 4 units.
If you have 1 1 2 3 and you lose 3 times in a row, you will have x x x 3 instead of x x x 1. A win next with x x x 3 leaves us with 1 1 2 2 but with x x x 1 a win leaves us with x x 1 1.
With ambidex, you can lose and then recover more quickly if you've had a couple of wins. It actually let's you reach your goal with fewer wins.The strength of the system is in what you do with your winnings. You don't take any winnings until you've won quite a bit.
You use the current winnings to decrease the odds of losing later on.You start with this pattern which represents 64 units:

Thanks for posting the Ambidex progression, out of all the ones I have seen it seems by far the safest, now that I'm achieving well over 90% of my sessions flat-bet, I feel now it's time to move it up a gear.
I could just keep flat-betting, but I do like the look of this progression, done some research I see it has been around since 2002.
Now I've Just got to get my head around this progression!!!

I'm always trying to mechanize these systems as much as possible without ruining there win ability. I have been testing this bet selection with a simple idea.
Let's say we start with our normal bet selection method, say follow-the-last.
We can use any bet progression we want. I have been testing this with the modified labby method called The Midas Method. We play for +1 and we start with just 1 unit in our labby line. As long as we win, we don't touch our line, we just keep putting the 1 unit wins in our profit pocket. As soon as we lose, we write down the lost unit next to the original 1. By starting with a 1, when we clear the labby we will have a 1 unit profit. So after our 1st loss our line is
1 1
We continue to bet the leftmost number as long as we lose and every time we lose we write the number of units lost on the right end of the line. We continue this way until we win. Let's say we have lost 3 times, our line looks like this:
1 1 1 1
Now let's say we win. On a win we cross off the left number that we were betting and we bet the leftmost and rightmost numbers. In this case 1+1=2. If we lose, we write the number of units lost on the right end of the line like this:
1 1 1 1 2
Since we lost we go back to betting only the leftmost number until we have a win and then we bet both ends of the line. Etc...
For a more aggressive Midas Method, I some times play for a 3rd win in a row by betting 2 numbers from the left and 1 from the right. I often use this if my line started getting too long or if I have a lot of losses early and my unit sizes aren't too large.
Back to bet selection. I we have RRR and we're being our normal FTL pattern and we get an B so that we have RRRB since we are in Normal mode we next bet for B which was the last. If B does spin next we continue to bet FTL. If it went from RRRB to RRRBR the B would have been an interrupt and we would switch to playing for Interrupts.
So we are either in N mode or I mode. Whatever the last pattern was determines which mode we are playing for. As long as playing for (I)nterrupt mode is winning, we continue in I mode. As soon as we lose, it means that the N pattern won and we switch to (N)ormal follow-the-last pattern.
This takes a little of the deciding factor off our shoulders.
I will say that we switch back and forth quite often. I don't have any doubt that we could wait until we have 2 (I's) or (N's) before we switch modes and it would be just as effective.
To keep track of which mode we're in, just start a line with N and whenever you switch to mode, write an I. Every time you switch write the letter of the mode at the end of the line.
Another option is to use 1 chip for Normal mode and 2 chips for Interrupt mode and use this chip method to keep track.

There is no guesswork when I use Basic, Interrupt or Killer mode, and when I switch from one to the other.

Sorry Malcop, I haven't had time to look at the spreadsheets in depth. Sounds like you've got everything covered. As you know, most of the visitors and even members like to have the rules spelled out exactly so all they have to do is learn the rules and go for it.

Hi All,
A few people today have asked me to give them the rules I now play Simple Trend Catcher so here goes.
I use four modes (N)ormal, (K)iller, (D)oubles and (I)nterrupts
(N)ormal Mode
AAA bet A
AAB bet B
ABB bet B
ABA bet B
(K)iller Mode
After three (N)ormal mode losses in a row we bet against in a 2-1 or 1-2 pattern, the reason I say that is because it changes depending on what pattern the three losses started from.
AAA - BAABA
AAB - ABBAB
ABB - ABBAB
ABA - ABAAB
Above you can see what it looks like if you had 5 (N)ormal mode losses in a row, if we take AAA as an example and after three losses in a row it would look like this: AAA - BAA so your next bet would be B to get AAA - BAAB then bet A to get AAA - BAABA then bet A to get AAA - BAABAA and continue with the 2-2 pattern until you get a loss in the (K)iller mode, then you look back three hands/spins and your next bet will be whatever it should be in (N)ormal mode.
AAA - BAA (1-2 Pattern)
AAB - ABB (1-2 Pattern)
ABB - ABB (1-2 Pattern)
ABA - ABA (2-1 Pattern) - (note: the first part of the 2-1 pattern has already been played)
The above is how you play in (K) mode after three (N) mode losses in a row.
(D)oubles Mode
When you use the (D)oubles Mode it is used in a on and off mode, the reason is the (D) mode is used for the chop and the (N) mode is used for the repeat part of the Doubles pattern.
If you see +ABBAA you go into (D) mode and bet B to get +ABBAAB then back in (N) mode and bet B to get +ABBAABB and you continue to alternate between (N) and (D) mode until the 2-2 pattern breaks, then you look back three hands and look back three hands/spins and bet whatever it should be based on (N) mode.
(I)nterrupt Mode
Interrupts are used as overrides for (N)ormal and (D)oubles Mode, when you are on a streak of three or more or a chop of two or more and a 2-2 pattern of two or more.
Sreak of three or more
+AAA-B now the streak has broke so you bet A for the streak to come back to +AAABA now in normal mode you would be betting for a chop but we stay in (I) mode and bet A again to get +AAABAA at this point you are no longer in (I) mode and back in (N) mode and you would bet A for the streak to continue, but if for example you win the first (I) mode bet and lose the second (I) mode it would look like this +AAABAB and because you are back in (N) mode you would bet A for the chop to continue.
Chop of two or more on one side
+AABABA-A the chop has broke with AA so now you bet B to try and get +AABABA-AB still in (I) you now bet A to try and get +AABABA-ABA the chop has continued so you are now out of (I) mode and back in (N) betting for the chop pattern to continue.
Doubles of two or more on one side
+ABBAABBAA-A the 2-2 pattern has broke with AAA so now we bet B to get +ABBAABBAA-AB then bet B again to get +ABBAABBAA-ABB then bet A to get +ABBAABBAA-ABBA then A again to get +ABBAABBAA-ABBAA you are now out of (I) mode and you should be back in (N) mode, now normally that would be the case but if you look you now have +ABBAA which in fact puts you in (D) mode and you would be betting B for the chop to continue.
Note: +ABBAABBAB would also be valid to enter (I) mode you still have at least two 2-2 patterns on one side so play for the 2-2 pattern as above.
So there you have the three (I)nterrupt modes, the most important thing to remember is that if you lose an interrupt mode bet you go straight back to (N) mode.
Important information at all times keep track of what would have been a three (N) mode losses in a row and as soon as you see that you go into (K) mode and bet for the 2-1 or 1-2 pattern until a loss then back to (N) mode, all of the above modes are used in my last three posted sessions with all the modes clearly marked except (N) mode if you see nothing marked assume that I'm playing in (N) mode.
This all may seem very complicated but after a few sessions it becomes seccond nature

You're right, after reading through your explanations a few times it starts to make perfect sense and quickly becomes second nature.
The interrupt factor is probably the hardest to get a handle on, but it can be a powerful ingredient.
We all know that we can still get spins that parry every thrust, but we should hit pay dirt most of the time. Excuse the mixing of metaphors.
I think a person can pick their favorite betting progression method and have a realistic shot at winning more often than they lose.

Thank you for your complement, I have always liked Simple Trend Catcher and always found myself keep coming back to it over and over again, the worst thing was when I was playing other systems/methods I could not get out of my head that would have been a simple trend catcher win ect. but most days I have always played at least a couple of sessions with Simple Trend Catcher on either Roulette or Baccarat, but it could also be used on any EC game in the Casino the same patterns/trends emerge on any EC game.
The strike rate of this update has been extremely high for me so far, of course you can have losing sessions with this Bet Selection, you tell me any bet selection that dose not lose now and then, it dose not exist, but you should find you will win far more sessions than losing ones as long as you are not one of people that are in profit and then throw it all away chasing a target, well that's what I have found so far anyway, and at the end of the day that's all that counts.
This all started because I wanted something simple that would allow me to jump on the trends of streaks/chops of 3 or more, and was not based on guesswork, the feeling when you are on those winning runs of 3, 4, 5, 6 or more is great and you get quite a few of those when using this system, also it had to perform reasonably well flat-betting only.

Tell me what you think about this idea.
A losing streak can be of any length, but we know that it has to end eventually. We know that there will be more 3 losses in a row losing steaks than 4 losses in a row losing streaks and there will be more 4 losses in a row streaks than 5 in a row.
What if we say that every time we have 4 losses in a row, we take a chance that it won't go to 5 losses in a row and we make a larger than required bet. Let's say we're betting D'Alembert and we're at a 6 unit bet having lost the last 4 bets which total -14 units. Our next bet should be 7 which would recover half of those losses but what if we take a risk and bet the total of the last 4 losses or 14 units. If we lose we write down two 7's instead of 1 and when we are winning and dropping back down the bet line, we just have to win both 7's before dropping to the 6.
Maybe we don't do this every time we have 4 losses but every time we have 4 losses caused by a certain pattern such as BRBRB here we bet for the chops pattern to break and we bet a larger than normal amount.
Is there some situation where this would give us an advantage or are we just going to have a balance between the times we win it vs the times we lose it.
My original thought was to flat bet at 1 unit and every time we lose 4 or 5 in a row, we make a 4 or 5 unit bet that it won't continue to 5 or 6 losses in a row. In this case we always bet 1 unit except when we have our magic number of losses in a row that triggers a larger bet.
The longer I type, the more I think in the long run it won't help us but I'd like to hear your thoughts on the idea.

The only problem I feel is just like winning streaks we really don't know how long a losing streak will be, and I do feel losing streaks are just a balance.
It's a bit like if we flip it and say once we are on a winning streak of 4+ we raise our stakes same thing we just don't know when it will end.
I just accept that some sessions will have long losing streaks and others will not, in the end the end it all balances out.
I read somewhere to just accept what the table gives you, and don't try to force it and that's how I play, I never try and force a win or profit, just grateful for what I can get out of the session.
If a session is really tough that is telling me to get what I can and get the hell out of there!
When I'm in a session I'm always evaluating based on how the session is going when is the best time to exit, it's not always as easy as saying I will exit the session when I lose my buy-in or when I get to a certain target, because it is always changing, and you have to base your decision on what you know up to that point not what may or may-not happen.
Maybe that's why I have a high strike rate who knows but it works for me.
That's why I believe that no two people could ever have the same results unless they play like robots, my play is mechanical but not always my exit points, if my gut say go now, go when I reach say +6 again then that's what I do, learnt from experience the hard way to listen to that little voice.

Thanks for the information, I did quite well using just the N and K modes in the past, the I and D mode are new but they seem to be working most of the time, but you can get sessions where they just seem to fail more than they hit.
Also I think it is good to try and go for the 2-2 pattern with the D modes.
I think the most consistant interrupt is the one used for a streak of three or more that is by far the best Interrupt.
I may extend the chop and 2-2 interrupts to 3 or more.

you said you had a session of 3000 spins but only 1000 played spins. so did you only play every fourth spin? I played continiously. only after zeroes I had 3 spins without betting just to get my next trigger. so I actually played 2783 spins.

resulted from testing my question in Reply #28.
We will be betting 1 unit as our base bet. After losing a pre-determined number of bets, we
will risk the total of those bets on 1 recovery bet.
We start with 1 bet of 1 unit. Continue to bet 1 unit as long as you win.
As soon as you lose, write 1 down. This is the 1st level. We total up all the base units lost
here and bet that amount. In this case it's just 1 unit.
If we win, we are even and start over betting 1 unit until we lose.
If we lose the second 1 unit bet we will have lost 2 units and move to the next level which

I don't know if we will ever have to go past this point.
We could play it like Hermes' leveler bet and stay at 3 basic bet until we recover completely.
In case it ever gets so bogged down that we feel like we're never going to recover, we can just take the loss and start over.
But think about this. All taking a loss and starting over does is move you back to a smaller bet. There is not such thing as starting over because you're still in the hole the number of units you set as a stop-loss. Before you can ever feel like a winner again you have to win back all those lost units. So don't lose track of them, rather keep track of them until you finally win them back.
How do you work you way down the progression line? Of course by losing.
Let's continue with the explanation about how we play. If we have lost 3 bets in a row our recovery line looks like this:

Had there been unrecovered units in level 1, (that would mean that there are unrecovered units in levels 2 and 3 because we can't recover units in a lower level until they are recovered in the upper levels) we would have started at level 4 again since it would be the lowest level without any units to be recovered in it.
As you can see, you can play at the 1 unit base level for quite a while because every time you win, except for a risk bet where you're trying to recover all lost units at that level, you will cross off the uppermost lost unit. Remember this uppermost lost unit is uppermost in the whole line, not just at the level you're on. This is always the 1st 1 in the 1st level, then the 2nd 1 in the 1st level.
Let's say you have recovered the 2 lost base unit bets in level 2, the next number to cross off is the -2, so, you bet 2 units. If you win you cross it off. If you lose you replace the 2 units you had recovered above the -2 and you must start over trying to recover the 4 lost units of level 2.
Okay, I'm tired of explaining. I think this covers the basics of the bet method. It can be a real grind at times, but it is very safe and I think, if you have patience, you can win some chips without going too deep in the hole.
Give it a look and see what you think.
I know there are a lot of situations that I haven't covered. You can ask me what I would do or you can just decide for yourself. No matter what you decide to do in a given situation, you won't be wrong. There is no "wrong" just different.

Phil, Sorry to throw so much stuff at you all at once. Ambidex is a strong progression in that it uses won units to reach you goal quicker.
This new method is strong because it keeps most of your bets at the 1 unit level.
My explanation may be a little garbled but basically what you're doing is betting 1 and recover with a 1 bet
If lose go to level 2 and bet 1 twice and then try to recover with a 2 bet.
At 3 level bet 1 unit 3 times and try to recover with a 3 unit bet.
If we are betting on say the 3 level and we get a win while betting a 1 unit base bet, we check up the line to see if there are any 1 unit losses to be recovered and we cross them off 1st.
Every time we win a 1 unit bet, we write it down at the level we're on and if we win a 1 unit bet we look up above and cross off from top to bottom.
What this does is it keeps us from finding ourselves at say level 10 which we could be at for a very long time just flat betting. When we recover a level from above and we either win or lose the level we're on, we check to see if there are any levels above that have been recovered while we were on our current level. If so that's where our next level is.
So we could have this sequence of levels: 1 2 3 1 4 1 2 etc... because while we're working on level 3, we could recover level 1. Then when we lose level 1 there could still be units lost and not recovered on levels 2 and 3 so we have to go to level 4. while playing on level 4 we might recover all of level 1 and 2. If we won on level 4 and went up to level 1 and lost and then to level 2 and recovered 1 then won level 2 we would only have what's left in level 3 to fully recover.
Our line would then look like
1 2 3

I'll continue my thoughts. I've noticed that this method can generate 5 to 10 units without going that far in the hole so we could have a very reasonable buy-in.
I've just been playing on betvoyager single zero demo mode but not keeping track of spins. Just to see how it feels. It feels very solid. Somewhat of a grinder at times but not as bad as a 1 unit flat bet.
I don't think I've been -20 units yet. Mostly max's out at less than -15.
I've never reached the 2 unit base bet level.
Early goings I know.
If this stays this solid, Tom can play it on his $50 minimum baccarat tables and it'll be a little easier on his heart. :thumbsup:

I think I understand your new progression, but maybe a play by play example of say 10-20 bets with markings for the levels and exponentiation what you should do next would be very helpful, maybe something along the lines of your example of 1 2 3 1 4 1 2 ect.
I know it's a lot of work but it would be very useful for myself and other forum members that may be interested in your new progression idea.
I'm not a big progression person, but if I do use them I prefer ones like yours, because you do not have to complete your progression all in one session so you could start the progression in Roulette then for example you could move over to the Baccarat table and continue where you left off.

Its just funny with ambi---when I got it I liked,,,one of my first tests I tried and got flustered....Bam a couple of months later I am thinking of using. Same with trend catcher-I liked it even played it with GR* player progression. Now after a month or two Im back and testing it before actual play..

I will do a sample run that, I hope has most of the rules to be learned incorporated in it.
First I want to discuss the 5 boxes.
Each level of the progression can be thought of as a box.
As long as all the boxes are empty we bet 1 unit at a time and we play outside of the boxes.
We enter the first box on the 1st loss. We bet our 1 unit base bet as many times as the number of the box. So, the 1st box on has 1 base bet that happens to be lost. Then we bet the total of all the lost base bets in our box trying to recover that boxes contents with 1 bet.
In the 1st box all we have is 1 base bet and 1 recovery bet. If the recovery bet loses we will have -1;-1 in our 1st box and we go to the 2nd box. This box represents 2 lost base bets followed by a 2 unit bet to recover.
The 3rd box has 3 base bets that have been lost followed by a 3 unit recovery bet.
Same idea for boxes 4 and 5.
The main rule is that you can't have more than 5 boxes in play at a time unless all the boxes are full. If all the boxes are full, you will be down 2+4+6+8+10= -30 units*. At this point you can open a 6th box which will be the 1st box at the 2 unit base bet level which is identical to the 1st 5 boxes except they are twice as large.
If you want to, you can stay at the 1 unit base bet level and open boxes 6-10 and they will be identical to the 1st 5 boxes. Before you can open a 6th box all of the 1st 5 boxes must be full*, meaning you will be at -30.
We can empty boxes above the one we're working on by crossing off lost units for every win while trying to fill up the current box, so to speak.
So if you are playing in box 3 and you lose 1 bet, you will have a -1 in the box. If you win the next 1 unit base bet, you will not cross off the -1 in the 3rd box, you will cross off the -1 in the 1st box.
This brings us to another rule. After you have crossed off all the lost base bet units, you immediately bet the sum of all those units. In our example we just crossed off the 1st -1 in the 1st box which is the only base bet in that box. The next -1 in the 1st box was our recovery bet that lost. Since that's the last number in the box we immediately bet it in hopes of emptying the 1st box.
If we win, our 1st box is empty and our 2nd box has -1;-1;-2 in it. We bet 1 base unit next. If we lose, that lost unit goes down in our 3rd box which is the box we're playing at the time. That means we will have -1;-1 in the 3rd box.
Again we bet a 1 unit base bet and if we win, we cross off the uppermost unit in our line which is the 1st -1 in the 2nd box.
Let's say we lose the next 1 unit bet, we put it in box 3 and we have -1;-1;-1. This represents all the base bets in box 3 so we immediately bet 3 units trying to recover those lost units. Let's say we win. That empties box 3. Now we have to open a new box. The new box must be empty. Our empty boxes are 1, 3,4,5. We always open the smaller number box. So we open the 1 box and our next 1 unit bet is won. We now cross off the uppermost -1 in our overall line which happens to be in box 2. This crosses off the 2nd -1 in box 2 which leaves the recovery bet of 2 units which we make immediately. If we win this bet, we will have recovered all lost units and will be back at our previous highest bankroll amount. Now we continue to bet 1 unit until we lose.
*If we are playing in box 5 and we lose it but we have a couple or more units in box 4 that haven't been recovered, this is the only case when we can open a 6th box without being -30.
Zero is just another loss.
This is another verbal description. I have to take a break of a couple of hours and then I'll give you an example of a short session.

B Lose -1 since we lost the recovery bet, we don't cross anything off, we re-instate the number of units we tried to recover. So now box 1 again has -1 & -1. Our next bet is 1 for B
R Lose -1 This is the 2nd loss of box 2 and brings us immediately to a recovery bet of 2 units on B
R Lose -2 We now have -1;-1;-2 in box 2 and since we have something in Box 1 we go to our next box, box 3. We bet 1 base unit on R
R Win +1. We go all the way up to box 1 and cross off the first -1. Which leads us to the recovery bet of box 1 with a 1 unit bet on R
R Win +1. We now have recovered all units in box 1. We bet 1 base unit for R
R Win +1. The uppermost unit to cross off is the 1st -1 in box 2 leaving -1 & -2 in box 2
This is the way we play until we empty all the boxes which will leave us at exactly where we were before we lost the bet that started this recovery attack.

As I think about this new progression, I realize that I can't come up with a valid explanation as to why it should win. All we're doing is betting 1 unit per bet until we lose different times and then we take a shot at recovering all of the single unit losses since we started our new box. We have just as much of a chance to lose the recovery bet as we do to win them.
There is an element of random in that we start with losing 1 then bet to recover. Lose 2 then bet to recover. Lose 3 then bet to recover. Along the way, with some wins we might sneak in a recovery bet for 2. And at any time we win a couple in a row on box 2,3,4 or 5, when we lose say the recovery bet for the 3 box instead of going on to the 4 box, we jump back up to the 1 box. So we don't always follow the same sequence of boxes.
Most of the time we're just losing 1 unit when we're having a really bad run which is nice.
I know that there will be a time when we will lose a bunch of those recovery bets ad drop deep into the hole. I just haven't seen one yet.
I'm hoping someone will finally have a really bad test session so we know what a losing session looks like. It will help us decide where to set things like buy-in amount, win target and stop-loss.

How would the same session have performed with a simply marty?
How deep into it would you have gone?
The reason I ask is when I look back at my testing I find that marty would have easily done the job.
It reminds me of the scene from the movie Raiders of the lost Ark when India Jones faces the guy with the sword.

Arthur, You're correct a simple martingale would have cleaned house on this example. The problem with a marty is that there are worse sessions when we have many more losses in a row and the marty would climb to very high bets while this one is still keeping the bets small.
That's balancing act we have to perform. With enough money a marty wins steady and easily until the losing streak from hell at which time we have to decide if we have the moxey to bet 1024 units knowing that if that one loses also, our next bet is 2048 units. Scarey stuff.
With this method, we can keep our bets small and hopefully win a few chips each time we play. Testing and playing will reveal if this is valid or not.

P.S. Here's a tweak on one of my progressions.
1) Bet 1 unit.
2) If it wins we have 2 units on the table, let-it-ride.
3) If it wins we have 4 units on the table, take 2 units off and bet the remaining 2.
4) If it wins we have 2 units from #3, plus 4 units on the table minus the 1 unit we started with = +5 units.
5) If the 3rd bet loses, we still have +1
6) If the 1st bet loses, we lose 1 units.
Had a real bear of a session testing the box bet progression. Got up to +7 pretty easily and then hit a really bad negative down turn. Dropped down to -28 a couple of times and finally got back to +3 and ended the session. The down turn lasted 134 spins which seemed like forever just to get back to plus but realistically I should focus on the fact that it did recover. I still haven't had to go to the 2 unit boxes.
I've been considering only having 4 or maybe even just 3 boxes. That would make recovery a little quicker but it will also increase the depth of our draw downs. The result will be that a larger buy-in will be necessary.
It really depends on your personal preferrence. Safety, with fewer units at risk or more units at risk for a little faster recovery.
The thing that I like about the idea of having only 5 boxes total and never going to the 2 or higher base bet levels is that eventually*, with patience, we can always pull out of the hole and we never have to place a bet of more than 5 units.
*I know that there's always a session that can't be recovered from, theoretically. But I do believe that it's pretty rare. At least with my limited testing, I haven't even come close to it.
We could always use Hermes' idea of 1, 2, 4 and just stay at 4 until we finally recover. I think it would be a very rare occurrence to get to 4 with this progression.
I notice that this is just a bit more than a flat bet. If my math is correct, the average bet size is 1.5 units. That's a total of 30 units in 20 bets = 1.5 units per bet.

I did hand pick the next result just to see what the spins would look like to cause a bust. A lot of choppy jumping around which doesn't happen that often for long enough time to kill us. :thumbsup:
on baccarat 130 is no biggie --2 hours----On roulette couldn't you set a stop loss at some point? 130 is a ton I think ---Hey if it hasn't busted thats great one way or another

For some of you who were interested in JohnLegend's method of playing, you might consider using this method to win 5 units risking 80 units which is what 1-1 + 3-3 + 9-9 + 27-27 totals. It seems to win 5 units pretty quickly most of the time.

(K) Killer mode, where you are betting for a 2-1 or 1-2 pattern i.e ABBABBABB as long as you keep winning in K (Killer) mode, if you look at the example you posted you can see the BRRBRRB pattern had started from spin 10, by hand 12 there was three Normal mode losses in a row, so I switched to K mode, at spin 15 but in fact I missed entering K mode I should have been playing K mode at spin 13, and lost a few potential winning bets, I make mistakes from time to time.

I'm sorry for the confusion. I didn't mean this box bet method could be applied to double dozens, I meant that we could use the hit-n-run method that JL likes. We could play Simple Trend Catcher betting the box method until we win 5 units and then take a break. We could risk 80 units on each session just like you would need when playing the double dozen methods like Code 4 on dozens and columns or Divide and Conquer or some of the other matrix methods.
The box method is a very conservative bet progression in my opinion. Although, I'm sure it will tank occasionally. Some people may think it's too slow and decide to just stay with the progression Malcop mentioned he uses in reply #8. It works very well also.
I should have never posted the box progression on Malcop's topic for bet selection.
If you have any more questions about the box method, I am going to start a topic under money management call the box method. Please join me there.

Sometimes you will find that the I mode and the K mode are directing you to bet for the same pattern.
In my examples I was trying to explain how each mode works, but you will see that the K mode will be the way to go based on three Normal mode losses.
But if I & K mode are directing you to place the same bet then it makes no real difference, until until such a point that K mode takes over.
Best way to think of K mode is an override once you have three normal mode losses in a row.

The best way to think about it is this, if you have a I or D mode win that is a normal mode loss, using the three streak or more rule as an example you have:
+AAA bet A, result B you now have +AAAB your first normal loss.
+AAAB bet A (I mode) you win and now have +AAABA, second normal loss.
+AAABA bet A (I mode) you win and now have +AAABAA, third normal loss.
+AAABAA at this point you would normally be betting for A for the streak of two to continue, but to get to this point you have had three normal mode losses, so now switch to K mode and bet B to try and get +AAABAA-B if you win continue in Killer mode if you lose go back to normal mode.
When I was describing the various modes I just concentrated on how each mode works, but in reality some modes like the K mode will take over from other modes, or follow straight after other modes, depending on how many normal losses you have.

The best way to think about it is if you are in K mode then you keep playing the 2-1 pattern until you lose. Once you lose a bet in K mode go back to normal mode.
In your example AAABAA-A after dropping out of K mode your next bet would be for A, AAABAAA in the hope of getting AAABAAAA but instead you lose and we see AAABAAAB at this stage we have three AAA's and a B so we bet A which is a interrupt mode bet.

I've been looking for a system to play with and i used quite a few. They were fine when i played for fun. When i put my money in. Done, it was gone.
So now, i want to show you my toughest (and first for real) session with this trend catcher.
EC on RB.
When i was loosing bad i saw these streaks of 10 low, or 8 odd numbers. Did not switch because... well i do not know why.
Eventually i got my +
I played with 3 unit bet. Biggest drawdown 39.
So for 1 unit it is 13.
Terrible.
Do you play it on RB or HL, EO are better?
Me again. I busted with this method unfortunately.
Got me to a nice 50% raise and then... bad session without any trend.
Now i am playing with this concept of instability or something like that.
I look at the last 5 spins and bet EC with more wins.
after 5 losses of 1 units i change to opposite and bet with 2 units.
Gone to the second stage 3 or 4 times.
With my 3$ left i made it to 42 by now (in 4 days hit & run style)
Started with 0,5$ bets. It's fun i must say ;)

and "freed" (people who got caught go into jail and they are "freed".
So it's a way of telling people (in poker terms) to show up and put

Hi guys! I' ve tested this way of betting selection and looks pretty amazing! What I was wondering is that: In (N)ormal mode our betting could be conservative (flat,+1/-1). As we all know that killing series is ABBABBABBA and so on... What if we were gifted 1u to this serie and in the same time following our conservative (N)ormal serie? This 1u with martingale could be 1,2,4,8,16,32 etc and if had come to that stage could give us all the lost of our (N) mode! The only problem probably could be (0)zero... but I think there is a way... If someone likes the idea please check it and post the results or his ideas because i think there is something big at all!
