Title: Carbon Central Network
Post by: Maui13 on Jul 21, 10:07 AM 2011
Just a question:

Is the above free invitation from our fellow member Thomas Grant, not an affiliate link?
When clicking on it, the following shows...

link:s://:.carboncentralnetwork.com/itnl/home/referral/thomasgrant (link:s://:.carboncentralnetwork.com/itnl/home/referral/thomasgrant)

why not just...

link:s://:.carboncentralnetwork.com/itnl/ (link:s://:.carboncentralnetwork.com/itnl/)

Just wondered....

Well, it is an affiliate link.
I have many in the forum.
I SPONSORED the forum.
That is to say.
I paid $20 for the upkeep of the forum.
I asked Victor if I could have a link displayed.
He agreed.
And there you have it.
A paid Advertisement.
From yours truly.

Not sure how long it will last.
Or if Steve will remove it.

I also clicked but paid not as much attention as you did, Maui13.

Anyway, thank you Thomas for supporting the forum, it's a great deal indeed. ;)

As you may have noticed.
The adds are gone now.
Steve has removed them.

but you never get your money back
I guess
but as it was your contribution..
kind of a goodwill,
you never ask for it
or you do ask...

who knows...

Not sure I follow you.
First I never asked for anything.
Well... not at first...LoL...
I just donated what money I had to support the forum.
If Victor asked. I sent him money.
Even when Victor didn't ask.
I sent him money.
Just to keep this forum alive.
I asked permission to post links.
The links I posted were approved.
I asked permission for my own room.
I got it. Then it was taken down.
Then it was brought back up.
I asked permission to post a ClickBank products post.
With my affiliate links in them.
This was approved. You can find them in my room.
Remember, by going to my room, and clicking on the post.
Then clicking on the links.
You agree to look at them.
That is your choice.
Then, as things progressed.
I recently asked to have my Carbon Central adds displayed.
With my affiliate link on the adds.
They were put up.
And advertising was started.
Victor tried to advertise casinos.
But that did not sit well with him.
Anyway...
Most of things I asked for.
Victor and the mods have agreed to.
Or at least most of the mods tolerate me.
As far as I know.
I know I am a mod.
And put my nose in posts when it is needed.
Most of the time.
I just stay out of conflict.
Sometimes I may post a level headed response.
But some do not like that.
Because I rarely take sides.

Anyway...
Back to the adds.
Quotebut you never get your money back
Not sure I agree with that.
Since posting in this forum.
There has been a steady increase to the visits to my sites.
And that is a good thing.
I sometimes even manage to make a sale from some of the Roulette tools that I promote.

Sometimes my opinions a valued.
But I do not take my self to seriously.
Life is way to short.
So, I consider my efforts to be of some worth.
Quotebut you never get your money back
So that would make that statement null and void.

Hopefully the new owner will keep my posts.
And my links in this forum.
And perhaps they may even get a higher percent of visitors.
And clicks. And even possibly some sales.
Who knows.

Well there ya have it.
I hope that explains a few things.

QuoteI hope that explains a few things.
It explains a lot of things
First of all, I must apologize
I misunderstood
I thought it was a deal to place a link of your affiliate for $20

I said it was your contribution
as I thought you initiated this deal
and they agreed.
So I am sorry

QuoteThere has been a steady increase to the visits to my sites.

The old adage is true...

Give and ye shall receive...

And for the most part.
What ye receives, outweighs what is given.

And this is true for this forum.
Well... It is what I have noticed at any rate.

Just look at the top posters.

They are all very well respected members of the forum.
They give of there time. And there ideas.
What do they receive in return?

FEEDBACK...
Followers.
Praise.
Respect.
Admiration.
And lots more.

Possibly some flack... LOL...
But they are adults with High morals.
And good intentions.
Love em all.

No need to be sorry.
You asked a question.
I answered it with good intentions.
You did not offend me.
Or discredit me.
Or even argue with me.
So thank you for your question.

As I mentioned.
The $20 was a donation.
I donated the money.
However... I did ask if my adds could be advertised.
Note: Victor could of said NO.
And I would of been ok with that as well.

Sure, he could.. But he didn't.

I think we will all miss him soon...
or later...
If we do not miss him already...
