Looking for opinions. Just because a person owns a gambling forum, does that automatically make that person RIGHT with their views on gambling? (I'm mainly referring to roulette) My question is in regards to JP and the Wizard. I am *NOT* talking about Steve so leave the Steve bashing at the door.
I cant believe how many people bow down to JP and the Wizard. Big deal I say, in regards to those two. They might know alot BUT you know what? They dont know it all. Alot of what they post is based on opinions.

John Patrick and Wizard of Odds?
I hear of him all the time but know nothing about the guy. Someone really only need to make a few mistakes in their logic to get an idea of their experience.

Like I said, this has nothing to do with you Steve. I'm only wondering what others think about JP and the Wizard.

Ken, looks like u think that abbreviation "JP" or nickname Wizard are well known to everyone. I can guess for example but i am not sure who u meant. as i guess by JC to whom u owe something u may mean Jesus Christ, but who knows this could be another guy owning another forum. JC, JP, Wizard, now with this info let's try playing the game "Who wants to be a millionaire"
Sorry buddy.....

Yeah, that's right.
Just look at Steve, he owns about 27 forums. :P :D :P ...only joking.
LOL Skakus, was nice to be with you here :D
I agree, owning a forum has nothing to do with the knowledge,
even more,
we talked about mistakes in logic here,
So think logically now,
If one knows everything about gambling,
Why own a forum then?
Forums are for generating knowledge.
It is my opinion and please don't attack.
I use them for advertising, and the advertising generates more revenue for me
Why do I bother selling instead of using? Well, I do use them: see link:://:.roulettecomputers.com but there are far more casinos than my partners can handle. Partners make more than sales though. Although I like to keep my life simple, not with thousands of partners, so it is easier to sell at least some computers. At $30k each, even more for some models, it's worth selling at that price.
There is more to it, as I can also sell advertising (gambling advertising fetches a premium price). Well that's my story, at least part of it.
Steve,
I have some questions:
members of the forum are usually those who want to be more successful at gambling.
This means that they are unsuccessful at some level.
Do you think somebody that is unsuccessful would have 30k to spare on a roulette computer?
I doubt.
I think you chose not quite right segment for advertising, but sure the forum helps to manage backlinks and other SEO stuff.(for roulette computers to rank high in search engines)
As for gambling ads, they're quite timely, I think.

The Wizard and JP are at opposite ends of the spectrum with regard to their views on gambling; the Wizard is a "math guy" and JP is anti-math, so they can't both be right. But I suppose it depends what you mean by "right", there are many ways to skin a cat, both make valid and invalid points, both have very different agendas.
Playborne, most successful players dont bother with forums. That is not to say players who want to win consistently dont see the forum and my advertisements. Sure most people cant afford $30k or so, but there are cheaper options like roulette computers with payment arrangement (pay with winnings), the system which is $2500 etc. Anyway all that is not really relevant to this thread.
I agree about the relevance.
Anyway, I didn't know about other options on roulette computers, so thanks for clarifying.

JP is not ANTI-MATH, i would say. in his book he says about chances to win and lose exactly like math guys say. He just can see the ways to "overcome" it not in "mathematical" ways.

I'm not sure that "owning" a forum means much. Even a site receiving 100's of thousands of "hits" a day isn't necessarily worth much, in dollars & cents. And doesn't "owning" a site really at least amount to a lot of time-consuming moderation, etc?
So, no, that certainly doesn't make someone right, or wrong, about something, etc.
Quote from: MrJ on Aug 08, 09:42 PM 2011I'm mainly referring to roulette.
Gambling is gambling. It's the book-sellers, system-sellers, gambling venues, hotels, souvenir-shops, gambling message-boards (via adertising, back-linking, enlisting posters, etc,) et al, who profit from the "suckers", and they who are truly interested in learning more.

I would safely venture to say that also they put their bottom-lines first. Actually, your question was somewhat timely, as i was doing a bit of internet-research on the owner of baccaratforums a couple of weeks ago. Just another profiteer, Michael Emilio Rodriguez i believe, who seems to own or be associated with about ten other various types of sites. (Since i was banned there for no obvious reason(s) other than posting what i believed/proved to be true, i began to look a bit deeper into it. That site was approaching the 200,000 Alexia-rank mark back in February, so perhaps it became even more about the business-side of things than of the passions of it's long-term members.)

No one person can know more than a tiny bit of the whole at any one time. Why ought we "bow down" to anyone?
