Tomla021.

I been around for many, many years on roulette boards.
I start out as all others experimenting and being a roulette system player.

There was moments i took a break for many weeks feeling down and later coming back.
For me the big change come when i got involved with the AP community.

I guess what i am saying - no matter what your agenda is - so will things become better.
Roulette is a life time hobby and not the search for the holy grail.

It is about experimenting and having fun and try to gain some.

Cheers

George, GLC has indicated that he will no longer be attended this forum.

George had expressed concerns of some members actions, one member in particular.

I have had correspondence from George, and I will now be informing him of the Moderator changes that have taken place.

Hope we can make this place fit again, and then great posters like GLC and others can feel safe, wanted and happy in their respective skins when they visit.

I'll keep u informed.

I truly hope Tom returns and shares with us his ideas, results and findings.

chris

Mods, maybe, we need a chat.

That is a common issue - i remember the first VLS forum many years ago - before the new one was developed - then it was also common that certain members had there own agenda.
It is not easy to be one big happy family - so many opinions and feelings - some sensetive and others more relax among others that are just Troll.

I make a decent amount with roulette and def with Baccarat. One of my good friends GLC privatly emailed me while I was away. Let me tell him you I have been doing well at gambling for 35 or so years. I have never met a better (actually didnt meet in person-but if their is a word like respect I respect him). So out of respect and more (when I came to roulette and needed terms etc, George was there) I know I miss wrote it but GLC is the best, so I resign , Who cares I get more out of one email with GLC than looking thru the posts.
bests to all

Don't know why people leaving have to post an "i'm leaving" thread...why not just go quietly...if you want to say good bye to forum friends, you can always pm them

just don't get it why, unless for psychotherapy reasons…

As i state above - all have there own agenda and he express hes view and opinions.
Like getting it out of hes system - some pepole do that.

But you have a valid point - it could be done using PM - but then he would not let the public know what he think in generall.
We all are different like humans with needs :-)

I think there is some maturity in saying this activity (whether Roulette, posting on a forum or gambling in general) isn't for you.

I could also be an exasperated call for help!

I have an email, which I will ask George if I can post up...... its quite enlightening.

If not, I will give U all my impression of why I think this has happened at this particular time.

Stay Tooned.

Here is GLC's original PM which he sent to several members here.
An extract has already been taken from it, but I still asked George's permission to post in forum.
(I have removed the name mentioned.)

Dear Friends,

I just want to tell all of you that I've enjoyed interacting with you for the last few years.  You're a great bunch of people.  I feel that the moderators allow too much negative attacks by some of the posters, specifically ********.  He is allowed to belittle members in a really obnoxious way and I think I'll take my ball and go home.

Anyway, I've posted about all I have to post, so no great loss.  Beating roulette is an interesting challenge that I've enjoyed persuing with you.  I have a few methods that I have some confidence in and I want to work with them to develop an arsenal that I can use depending on what the wheel is giving at the moment.

If you remember a couple of books I reported on, the authors were able to win at roulette by having a fist full of methods that they used depending on what they saw going on with the different wheels at their casino.  I think that's the most likely way to win on a regular basis.

Good luck to all of you.  I'm going to log out after sending this PM.  I'll look in on the forum as a guest from time to time.  If any of you ever want to contact me for any reason, just send me a message to my e-mail address:  georgelcoran@cox.net.  I'll try to always respond to communications from you.  Don't PM me because I won't be logged in except periodically to see that I got a PM.

GLC

P.S.  I know it's like trying to kick a drug addiction trying stop posting on the forum.  Wish me luck.

My response letter to GLC:-

> I know how U feel George.
> I was like that a few months ago.
> What U need, is what I needed- a break from it, for a few weeks.
>
> though, U will be back, I'm certain of it.
>
> In fact, I'll wager U on it!!
>
> Enjoy the rest, but eventually, the temptation will be too great..your bitten for life!
>
> Take great care George. And, when your in again, and U see some bad posting- point it out to me, and I'll have a word with Victor.
> Moderation is getting harder to capture sometimes..
>
> But we can sort these little sh1t-heads out.
> There are not worthy of losing a great poster like Urself.
>
> regards chris

His Second reply....:-

Didn't mean to make a big deal about it.  Maybe after the dust settles down a little I'll jump back in.  Sometimes I feel like I'm just stirring up the same ideas with minor changes that don't really make a difference in the long run.  We come up with an idea.  It wins pretty well.  Then the losing sequence shows up.  We try something different.  It wins some more.  Then the new losing sequence shows up.  We try something etc...

I have stopped believing there is a bet that you can just sit down at the table and playing indefinitely and win.  It's all about personal methods, win targets, stop losses, pushing a win streak, cutting short a losing streak, etc...  There will always be a possibility to have a series of losses that will hurt you.  It can't be stopped.  It will either be a big loss because you are using a giant progression that finally tanks or a series of small losses close together that add up to a big loss.

I'm still wrestling with that concept.  Which is better?  I lean toward using a really big progression because with a little luck, you may avoid that loss forever.  Or at least get far enough ahead to be able to absorb it and still be alive.  Small losses happen so often that they can't be avoided.  They are probably the safer route to take because you are up to date at all times.  You just don't know when you may get 6 or 7 losses back to back.  It's all possible.  Just have to pick your poison.

Still, either one is better than just throwing chips on the table willy nilly.  I think.

Best to you Chris,

My second letter to George:-

> May I post some or all of the contents of this last email of Urs in forum?

I think people who care, and there are a few of us, would find it enlightening.

by the way, I have now been upgraded to a Global Moderator!

So, if your need any help at all George about anything to do with the Forum, I will endeavour to help U best I can.

Big learning curve for me. And the forum at large I guess!!! LoL.

Keep in touch George. Love to see U posting/reading soon.

by the way, Tom (Tomla021) mention U in forum. I thinks he is backing off somewhat too.

Cheers GLC.

christopher.

Here's George's rely from few minutes ago.

Chris,  Feel free to post whatever you feel is appropriate.  Like I said, I don't really want to make a big deal out of this.  It's a combination of feeling attacked inappropriately and, just like you said for yourself, feeling a little like I've come to the end of the journey of seeking the magic bullet and need a break.  Also, I'm getting busier in other areas of my life and am finding the time to keep up with the forum more and more difficult.

Thanks for your help and support.
George.

I briefly read the start of this forum. I keep reminding members:

If there is an issue with any of the members, ie if you feel they act inappropriately, YOU NEED TO TELL ONE OF THE MODS. THAT'S WHAT WE ARE FOR.

It does no good to sit and do nothing.

The rules we enforce are simple and fair. But we also rely on the members to keep us informed as we do not read everything little thing.

I posted weeks ago that forums are forums are forums. I used to go in a chat room in the 90's called Religion and philosophy in Lycos and I realised years later that chat and forums are a way to get your ego massaged without all the phisical body language involved in the real world.
The phisical body cant exist on the internet, but the ego can.
This place is no different. People want to post a new system that their ego has invented to give them pleasure, then be patted on the back for it to massage the ego.
When someone says"that system sucks", they get all offended and fake a leaving party, but the ego cant resist to come back and see what people say to the "bomshell" and quite often come back as someone else.
The only problem with coming back as someone else is that the ego cant tolerate not being able to call the shots with this new name and having to be ignored by the clique that it eventually has to be leaked that the newbie is infact the old name.
In Lycos, this was identical.
Just my view (but its right :-))
