Title: Play the game with the lowest H.A. but.......
Post by: MrJ on Jan 01, 07:46 PM 2012
I suck at message subject titles, cut me a break. My question is this......under what H.A. percent should we stick to playing? I read somewhere, any game UNDER 5% (which leaves out 00 roulette).

Dont tell me, play the game with the lowest H.A., thats not my question.

I'm asking, if you had to make a cut-off point, would you say any game under 5% or maybe any game under 4%?

"Everybody" says blackjack.  But to get those good edges, which in most of the 8-deck games aren't so good as advertised, you have to do a lot of doubles and splits.  Not to much mention also the requirement to heavily spread your bets... even if the casinos much allow that either.  (I've always advocated to blend it in with progressive betting, if you really know what you're doing, and have at least five years of steady play under your belt.)

Baccarat's utilitarian HE can quickly be brought under the 0.5% (, comparable to the best casino-blackjack games in the "public" rooms out front), again if you know what you're doing.  Beating it is a different story but likely easier than playing expert roulette (, though fewer persons would believe you.  There's a lot more room for the "inventing" of those useless roulette- gizmos, bells-and-whistles.)
