Title: Beta Testers Needed.
Post by: ThomasGrant on Sep 20, 11:18 AM 2010
Hi there.
It's yours truly.
Thomas R. Grant

With a request for Beta Testers.
As you may know.
I am currently creating a bot with RSS Pro.

However...
I also would like to see if some of the code will work with Delphi.
So I have included a very basic .exe file.
Very basic.
If the .exe runs on your pc.
Great.

I am after people with an open mind.
Who can offer up good suggestions.
Or good comments.

As it will be created in Delphi.
And I do not no all about Dephi.
The bot will only be working in manual mode.
So you will have to press each number.
As it appears on your Roulette table.

I am not even sure it will all work.
But it might.

So those that are interested.
Please add your name below.

Plus if you are interested.
Download the .exe
And tell me if it worked on your pc.
If it did not work.
Then don't bother being a beta tester.

As I said.
The .exe is very basic.

I got button 1

Then, hi there thanx for testing this

All good ?

Hi there Thomas!

I just downloaded and tested it and it works great. Nice button ;)

I got the same thing as Twister!

I am at this very moment coding on my own in Visual Basic. I am doing just a simple calculator :)
So I am familiar with this basic program.
Title: Re: Beta Testers Needed.
Post by: ThomasGrant on Sep 20, 11:35 AM 2010
Thanks to both of you.
Twisteruk
Fripper

Glad to see that you got it working.
As I said. It is very basic.
Take a look at my tutorials.
link:://rouletteforum.cc/coding-for-roulette/tom%27s-rss-pro-tutorial-v4-%28design%29-in-depth/ (link:://rouletteforum.cc/coding-for-roulette/tom%27s-rss-pro-tutorial-v4-%28design%29-in-depth/)
And you will see what it will look like.

I coded this with Delphi 10.

All I wanted to see is if the .exe would work.
And it seems to so far.

Thanks again.

LOL...

Only kidding.

Should be done in day or so.
Just investigating some graphic ideas.
I like it to look good as well.

Ok, this is what I have done so far.
Just delete the old one.
Or rename it.

Press the "Test 1"

This should bring up a message.

Dear Thomas, it worked. Now tell me if I can be of some help to you.

Just keep testing the versions I put up.

I am reading and doing searches for things.
It's not as easy to code as it is in RSS Pro.
But it is getting there.

Now I am trying to figure out how to save the position of the window when you close it.
I have a few delphi pages that tell me how.
All I got to do is add the code in. And test it.

It will work on any casino.
Because you enter in the numbers manually.

Well, here it is.
All the graphics and menus are done.
Plus the buttons and fields.
Just like the one I did in RSS Pro.

Now, I have no idea if all this will work.
But it will be fun trying to find out.

Things to test in this version.
Test 1 button.
About Menu.
Balance field. Enter in a number.
Even takes 4.65
It ain't perfect.
But it is getting there.

Now to make it do something.

I have added a small update to the zipfile.
Fixed a problem with showmessage.

Ok, here is what I have done so far.
Man, this is hard work.
It is so much easier in RSS Pro.
But here at least you get a .exe that you can use.

Things to test in this version.

Window position. Move it. Then close it.
Then open it again. Does it remember the last position?

Numbers 0,1,2,3,4,5,6 All should show up in the marque when you press them.
That's all I have done so far.

Trying to figure out ways to do routines in Delphi.
And that aint easy.

All my routines work in RSS Pro.
But not in Delphi.

It is so frustrating.

Hello Thomas ..

if you press the button "Test 2" ... you see the number 1

the number buttons  0,1,2,3,4,5,6 work
Title: Re: Beta Testers Needed.
Post by: ThomasGrant on Sep 22, 08:24 AM 2010
As you can see.
I am very new when it comes to programming.
Especially in Delphi.

Pascal is fairly simple.

Working with RSS Pro is buy far much better and easier.
But not everyone has RSS Pro.
And that is why I have started to release these .exe files.
It may take me long while before I get it to do what I want it to do in Delphi.
Most of it comes down to writing routines.
And getting them to work in Delphi.
I am getting help and assistance from Delcode.com Support
They are fantastic.
And fairly cheap.

LOL... yeah...
That is why I have those two buttons there.
So I can test out my code.
Or the code I am going to implement.

Thank for your report.
I will get onto the rest of the numbers later.

Waiting on some info from Delcode.com Support
On Arrays and Global Variables.

Plus I asked them about Procedures.

They sent me the source code for the window position.
And I got that to work now.

QuoteHello,
We will focus on the first part for the moment.
We are currently closing the office for the day and that's why it will take us 24h to complete the first part.
We think 100$ will do for the first part.
We are also interested in a second part.
We will contact you tomorrow.
Thank you.

The whole codes required are FREE on the net.

C'mon, let's not be lazy! You just have to put up the pieces of code together, that's the gist of programming. :)

Screen grab code (where you can get the Delphi's implementation):

link:://delphi.cjcsoft.net/viewthread.php?tid=39597 (link:://delphi.cjcsoft.net/viewthread.php?tid=39597)

or just google the bitblt function which is what you need to extract regions from screen (delphi + bitbtl):

link:://:.google.co.ve/search?q=delphi+bitblt (link:://:.google.co.ve/search?q=delphi+bitblt)

You can then start to build the optical reader to recognize numbers by iterating the grabbed pixels from the square you are reading and comparing it to a database of numbers (0 to 36).

Dear Thomas, I hope you don't get my post wrong; I'm just pointing out that since ALL functions are 100% free, why pay for the programming? We the few programmers around must instead put up a good fight and be cooperative in helping each other.

User "Superman" can help you with the functions too.

Just ask in the section: "How can I perform a click", "how can I build an optical reader", etc. Several of us have it figured-out already, and all the windows API functions are documented there (for free!).

It can actually do good for our coding section to have this kind of activity.

I'm telling it to you with the warmest of hearts.

When becoming a programmer, the best asset you can obtain is the "do it yourself" spirit, specially on these times where there is a sheer amount of free code on the net and you can attend forums when you need a little help from your friends.

Regards!

Victor, thank you for your post.
But I will have to disagree with you.
It is not that I am lazy.
I have tried.
I know there is information out there.
But if you want something done that you don't know how to do.
Then you contact people at places like elance.
Or contact someone talented like Tiago.
Or in this case.
I contacted delcode.suppor
To see if they are up to the challenge.
If they can do the job.
Then great.
If they can provide a service.
Then perhaps more people in here will contact them.
Give them the specifics.
And they will create the program for you.

I fully intend to go ahead and pay for the code.
Not only will it teach me many of the the things I lack.
But it will be a valuable tool. For me, and for other members.
If no one wishes to assist, then that is fine.
I will do it on my own.

I have also asked them for a quote on a more advanced model.
For mouse clicks, etc.
I just find it difficult to implement into Delphi.
They have been fantastic in answering my questions.
And very reasonable when it comes to price.
I have learnt a great deal from them.
So much easier when you have pros doing the coding.
Easier to follow. And to understand.

I have mentioned that I am not a programmer several times.
But I have a passion to learn.
So I find the right teachers.
And it they cost me a little.
So be it.

$100 for the first part is not cheap in my book, specially when all the functions are there for free :-\

Well mate, I'm just telling if I were you I would exhaust the free resources, our forum, other Delphi forums, all the documentations, etc. before even considering buying source code.

Well mate, I'm just telling if I were you I would exhaust the free resources, our forum, other Delphi forums, all the documentations, etc. before even considering buying source code.

Victor, it is cheap to me.
It is all a matter of perspective.
I only asked for assistance.

As for buying source code.
This is not the first time for me.

Most of the heart of the code I DID NOT CODE.
Silver from MMM (Money Maker Machine) coded it.
I paid $50 for it. All on my own.

And have just released the code to the members of MMM.
For free.

Mr Silver is a pascal coder over at MMM.
He released some code into the forum.
Prior to this I was asking tons of questions.
Had lots of if and endif statments all over the place.

When Silver started posting his scritps.
I borrowed his ideas.
And took them as far as I could.
But the program was not able to handle the work load of all those calculations.
So I asked if he could improve on it.
And he did. As I said, it cost me $50

Another time, and I do belive I may have mentioned this as well.
I paid $1000 for a system.

I also paid $300 for Super Roulette.
I DID NOT GET IT FOR FREE.

It's only money...

When you wana get rich, talk to rich people.
Even if they charge you.

If you wana learn to program.
Find some one to teach you.
You can teach yourself.
And find numerous links on the internet.
But if you have as much difficulty as I do
in understanding how to implement Arrays into Delphi.
Then you better of asking for expert help.

I don't have access to Tiago.
Even though we communicate from time to time.

I appreciate the links you put up.
As to what Super Roulette can offer.
I don't know yet.

Paying for software, services, or even code.
Is not a problem for me.

I am not a plumber.
So I call one when I want the water done.

I am not a programmer.
So I seek expert advice and assistance from those
that have a proven record in that area.

Victor your not a pascal programmer of a Delphi programmer.
RSS is what I started programming with.
Well, I actually started to program with CanDo for the amiga.
But that is ancient history now.

I asked lots of questions when it came to pascal.
Lots, and lots.

Now I have RSS Pro.
Done a great series of tutorials in here all based on that program.
But no one else has it.
Or programs with it.
Not in here at any rate.

Same goes for Delphi. or Pascal.
There are very few programmers that have a passion for roulette as well.
It is a very tiny market.

I am going to go ahead and just pay.
It is not a problem for me.

Perhaps I should not of mentioned the donations bit.
Just seeing if other members would like to share the costs.

If not then fine.

Reminds me of this FreeDom Of information act...

So here is a short story.

I got caught in a red light camera on the 11 of Sept.
There was a car crash at the intersection.
I was unable to get across in time.
So I go flashed.
To request details of the accident trough the Freedom of information act.
It will cost me $61.
However the fine will cost me $360
So what is free these days?

Freedom is not free.

I think that is on the Vietnam wall of honour in Washington.

Code can be free.
I just find coding some things difficult.
So I seek Professional assistance.
And to that end.
Delcode.com Support
Have proven very reliable.
Helpful, and cooperative.

Thomas, I agree with Victor, we all learn from the start, to build your own tool from the roots is the best way to learn, sure it may take time but it's free and you learn from it, screen reading is probably the most difficult challenge for you, I don't use delphi/pascal etc, more of a basic language approach, all software these days has the functions for what you need, mine uses

mousemove, wingetsize, wingethandle etc etc all you need to do is work out what you want the find and read the details of the individual functions to see if they will return the info you need then move on to the next step, once you have your template you can input ANY method you like. Your template should, in my opinion, be able to click spin and store the number in an array, the array can be as big or small as you like so you can look back as far as your mewthod requires.

Thank you superman for your comments.
But I disagree with you. And Victor.
Sure I could go online and try and find answers.
Or I could post my questions here and get them answered.
Most of the links I tried show you some information.
I don't have a problem with learning.
It's implementation that I have a problem with.
Especially when it comes to Arrays and procedures.
Now, all my code works fine in RSS Pro.
But does not work with Delphi.
So I had to rethink the whole thing.
I have asked the experts.
I have purchased code from them before.
It normally cost me $25, sometimes less.
They send me the source code.
And I get to learn how to do something.
Especially when I am stuck.
For instance.
Remember last window position.
I did a great deal of searching on the internet for this.
Found many examples.
No matter what I tried I could not get it to work.
Something was missing in the code.
So I asked Delcode Support to assist me.
They did so.
I paid $25 dollars for the information.
Now I know how to code it in to my projects.
Money well spent if you ask me.

Now, I have asked them to assist me with this bot.
They have responded with YES.
So I will take it up with them.

I learn more from there ACTUAL examples they send me.
Than I do from reading and trying the examples I see online.

Take a look at this.
Take a look at the work Delcode.com Support have managed to do for me.
Very impressive.
And it took just 25 hrs.
It would of taken me months or trying to implement the code.

Very happy with their efforts.

Here is the second version they sent me.
Even better than the first one.
Load numbers now works.
About menu with clickable link.
Save to file works.
Wow they are good.

You know...
If I can work a deal with them.
Then perhaps other members might wish to request a bot from them.
Give them the specifics.
What you want to the bot to do.
Then they might make it for you.

Once I get the code for this.
And start to dissect it.
And start to understand what they did.
And how they did it.

I will then start my class up again.

Well, Delcode.com have dropped the towel.

QuoteHello,
We are sorry, but the scale of the project is too big and the price range would be much larger.
By looking at your recent specs, the price would be much higher and we are afraid you would not go with that price.
It's probably for the best if we (as you said) dropped the towel.
Thanks.
Delcode.com team.

They sent me the code on what they have done so far.
For free. As they can no longer continue on with the project.

Shame...

Ohh well.
Gives me a chance to go on with it.

Yes, indeed.

There is a reason why "regular" programmers aren't fond of coding for roulette:

- If it is their own bot, then they are basically using their programming hours for a "maybe", they could implement those hours for a "certain" instead ($$$ / per hour).

- If the bot is for a third party, it isn't common the amount of hours spent do not compensate with the money charged.

So, it leaves the hobbyist; those who love roulette and aren't using their work hours to code.

P.S. THANKS for uploading the code.
