Title: Betting on the Same EC
Post by: JimmieB on Aug 25, 03:31 PM 2014
Hi All,

Looking for some advice on betting the same EC chance, I’ve been doing some testing on betting the same EC, red/black, and was looking for some thoughts on doing this, as early testing seems to work quite well, however, I’m sure, there are several downsides, for example a long run on say, R, followed by 1, or, 2 on B, then another long run on R, kills the BR...

I’m using one of GLC’s progressions (thanks GLC!) which, I believe, is based is based on the bread winner progression, 11111,22222,33..., crossing off etc, with a slight modification on my part; I’m currently only using a three step amount, (you can change this to suit your style), 111,222,3.., and I’m also including a 0, as this helps me make sure I’m betting the lowest possible amount on the EC for when the zero hits, for example why have 2 on R, and 3 on B, when you can have 0 on R, and 1 on B, meaning if zero hits you only lose 1 unit, and not 5! The following is an example of how I’m playing, I hope it makes sense, and I hope haven’t made any errors! As I’ve mentioned the 0’s are included to help me keep track, the more experienced players might not need to do this.....

R (0) & B (0) â€" R, No bet
R (0) & B (0, 0) â€" R, No bet
R (0) & B (0, 0, 0) â€" B, No bet
R (0, 0) & B (0, 0) â€" R, No bet
R (0) & B (0, 0, 0) â€" R, No bet
R (0), & B (0, 0, 0, 1) â€" R, No bet
R (0), & B (0, 0, 0, 1, 1) â€" B, No bet
R (0, 0), & B (0, 0, 1, 1) - B, No bet
R (0, 0, 0) & B (0, 1, 1) â€" R, No bet
R (0, 0) & B (0, 1, 1, 1) â€" B, No bet
R (0, 0, 0) & B (1, 1, 1) â€" now bet 1 unit on B, R comes up, -1
R (0, 0) & B (1, 1, 1, 2) â€" bet 1 on B again, R comes up, -2
R (0) & B (1, 1, 1, 2, 2) â€" bet 1 on B again, B comes up, -1
R (0, 0) & B (1, 1, 2, 2) â€" bet 1 on B again, B comes up, 0
R (0, 0, 0) & B (1, 2, 2) â€" bet 1 on B again, R comes up, -1
R (0, 0) & B (1, 2, 2, 2) â€" bet 1 on B again, B comes up, 0
R (0, 0, 0) & B (2, 2, 2, 3) â€" bet 2 on B this time, R comes up, -2
R (0, 0) & B (2, 2, 2, 3, 3) â€" bet 2 on B, B comes up, 0
R (0, 0, 0) & B (2, 2, 2, 3, 3) â€" bet 2 on B, B comes up, +2, end attack start over, with R (0) & B (0)

As with any system, it’s not any way set in stone, any feedback very welcome. In terms of a stop/loss, I’m of the opinion of looking to get a small amount with the odd loss for example, stop when +3, games lost when -10, if we can win 3 games out of 4 we are in profit, albeit not much, although, still a profit, which is all we can expect at the very most from this game.

Regards
Jim
