So you expose 340 to win 20.
You dont break even on a loss until you win 17 times
Do the odds of 21, 24 and 0 hitting change by betting 3 spins hit and run?
Does hit and run give you an edge over or at least reduce the house edge?
Please explain

It is a bad bet, my opinion.

Cheers

The chip amount may exceed table limits at most casinos.

Also, that zero comes up more than you think...

Rich,  You could divide by 20.  That would be 9 -- 6 -- 2.  $17 vs $240.  A loss wouldn't be so shocking.

I've played this betting 5 units on Low or High, 3 units on the opposite dozen and 1 unit on the corner.  That's 9 units risked.  If the even chance hits, you win 1 unit.  If either the dozen or the corner hit, you break even.  If zero, 21 or 24 hit you lose 9 units.  If you play it continuously, you'll still get yourself in trouble.  Maybe play for +5 or -9.  It's not too common to lose the very first bet, but it can happen, so you should win some units before a loss comes along.

I've played this using a Hollandish type progression.  I play until I lose a 9 unit bet.  I then write nine 1's down and start betting 2 times my static bet.  That is 10 -- 6 -- 2 crossing off two 1's for every win.  If I win 5 times without losing, I've recovered my losses +1, so reset to 5 -- 3 -- 1 until the next loss.
If, while playing at the 2 times level, I have another loss, I write nine 2's.  I continue at the 2 times level until I recover all the 1's.  Each time I have a loss I again write down nine 2's.  Once all the 1's are crossed off, if I have any 2's written down, I must go to 15 -- 9 -- 3 and play until all the 2's are crossed off, etc...  You should get the picture.  Sometimes the number of times the zero, 21 or 24 hit in clusters can be alarming, but if you have the bankroll and patience, you can usually pull back out of the hole.

There's always the chance of utter ruin so be sure and have your snake bite kit with you.

i like this method for being used in conjunction with other methods

thanks for all the input and as always thanks GLC

i find combining methods is pretty solid

for example

-wait for my 3 double streets to miss then begin betting on them with a marty, i will win 9 times out of 10 but i will only do this ONCE
-then i will bet $180 on 1-18 , $120 on 3rd dozen, $40 on 19, 20, 22, 23
-then i will be on 11 out of 12 streets

you see? combine the methods dont prolong them

as glc says youd be the unluckiest bloke alive, what kills people is doiong it over and over and over

hit and run can be beautiful

combine winning methods dont prolong it

Far too risky mate, there are lots of safer bets out there.
Always expect the unexpected specially with roulette......
