Dear forum members,
I received a request from Ivica's son (I think it's his son, but may be his daughter. I'm not that familiar with Croatian to be putting first names with a male or female.) who lives in a different country from where Flatino lives. The request is to see if anyone can get in touch with Flatino. His son heard that he had a stroke and he hasn't been able to get in touch with him to see how he's doing. All my e-mail addresses for Flat are no longer active. If anyone can get in touch with him and find out how he's doing and let us know, it would be much appreciated.
Also, I'm sure Flatino would appreciate all prayers from those who know him from his many years on the forums.
Thanks,
George
So many bad news....:(
Wishing him well.
George . . .
My emails to him have also been returned.
All we can do is hope and pray for him.
Nick

Gorki, the person who contacted me was named Marcel. That's the name I don't know the gender of.
If you live in Croatia, maybe you could look up Ivica's name in the phone book and contact him that way. Just a thought.
GLC
Marcel is surname, not name.
P.S. There is around 30 (Boban Ivica) people with that name in the phone book, so I don't know which one is he.
I really like the guy. We speak often in PM (well not recently)
LOL, I always think of him when I see "Boris the Blade" in the Guy Richie film SNATCH...dont know why...Ive never met the guy.
Just a bunch of words and a picture of a suave old man in a white jacket (the one outside a casino in Tunisia)
I really hope he is OK....or getting better.
Sorry to hear that FlatNIn O has nnot been heard from for a while. What I do know is that he lived in the town of OPATIJA, Croatia on the Adriatic coast.
Acccording to one of his last posts he had scaled down his gambling activities He found a new hobby taking swims in the Adriaric Sea instead.
This info could have been posted during summer of 2014 at which time he mentioned that he was expecting the visit of some house guests.
There is no Ivica Boban in phonebook of town Opatija(Croatia).
Maybe Ivaca Boban is an assumed name like all the other names he is known under. According to Ivaca there is a casino in Opatija maybe one of the usual suspects there might catch on.
Maybe " Drazen: a pposter from Croatia at bestselction can help us..
I1ll try to contact him.

He is a man of many aliases but I'm pretty sure his real name is Ivica Boban. That's what his son called him. I tried an e-mail address I had for Drazen but didn't get a response although it has been quite a while since I was in touch with Drazen. I do know that Drazen was in pretty close contact with Ivica at one time.
His son lives in Australia and it seems he's dependent on someone from Croatia letting him know what's going on.
Thanks for your help.

Fellow forum members. I have just received a message from Ivo's son. He said that Ivo is in the hospital and in serious condition. Please send your best wishes and prayers.
I know he has a gruff side to him, but I truly believe he only wants to help educate us. After spending half his life as a roulette dealer and player, he surely has much to offer.
GLC
Sorry to hear this, hang in there Ivo my thoughts & prayers are with you !!!!!!

Wishing him all the best and to recover and be in good shape.
By the way I did not know he used to be a dealer. I thought he is just a player.

If memory serves me right he was a dealer in Australia for about 15-20 years ?

If my memory serves me right, he said he worked 26 years as a dealer. I'm not questioning if he was or was not a dealer, just how long I'm not sure of.
George
Thanks for being mediator in all of this and conveying this information
Lets hope he can get on the better side of his current situation.

Yes Chris, They are all the same person. Ivica periodically changed his name. He would post for a while and then back off for a few months to a year and then come back on under a new handle. I first knew his as IBOBA which makes sense. His real name is Ivica Boban. Then he posted on VLS forum as Sesame. On this forum he was F_lat_ino and later Vile. I don't know his reasoning for changing his forum name. Like I said, he could be a little blunt with some of his interactions with members. Maybe it had something to do with that.
If you go back and look at some of his systems, remember that they were usually designed to be played for around 350 spins which was his average playing session.
GLC
George,
Thanks for keeping us all in the loop. F_lat_ino is certainly a good guy who wanted to share his experiences and philosophy. Hopefully he'll be back soon.
Regards, Wally
I miss you Flat! Get well soon.
(I'll be praying.)
Flat is also Teo
@Glc and everyone - Thanks for the clarification I greatly appreciate it.
Get well flatino.
Dear forum members. Marcel, Ivica's son sent me a text today stating that Ivica passed away a few months ago. I was afraid that was the case since he always answered e-mails promptly but hadn't been answering them for the last nine months.
He has been and will continue to be missed.
May his soul rest in peace.
George
