Title: COMMERCIAL SYSTEMS, FINAL STAND
Post by: VLS on Oct 04, 04:02 PM 2010
I am balancing members retaining the ability to link to commercial systems' pages and to post "previews" with the benefits (or lack of benefits) it brings.

I'm currently tending to the stand that it is either posted in full for us as a community to debate the system openly OR it isn't posted at all (even asked for, or any other way to generate curiosity about it).

...On the one hand, this will make this forum clean from commercial system selling activity 100%, on the other hand, some genuine questions about the viability of sold systems will be removed.

In all case, people who bought a method and feel like speaking about it openly and telling to the world the internals of the method are in their FULL RIGHT to talk about the method they bought, hence the actual debate on the internal functioning of sold systems is not going to be stopped, just the baiting to sellers' premises.

Actual owners can come here and explain in their own words the method and it starts further productive debate.

What barring insubstantial threads about commercial methods would terminate is the constant threads of the type: "is XYZ method from ZYX-roulette-seller.com good?" and the teasing previews PDF's and brochures,  and basically everything that isn't disclosing the full method to our members but can act as ultimately as a teaser for members.

Your opinions as fellow members of the forum are welcome on this issue.

My Opinion,

Post the Full System for us to debate and or test

No links to pages that are obvious attempts to sell

Or any breadcrumb pdf links in the Download Section that are designed to make you enquire and buy UNLESS upon that enquiry the FULL SYSTEM is given FREE. AND stated so in the pdf

But then WHY is it not posted in full for FREE in the first place, some may wonder ? Hence the obvious attempt to make it a sale enquiry

I certainly think we can live without the commercial system threads.

Only those that disclose the system and actually start productive debate.

Thanks for participating of this thread Paul, let's see what others say too.

I think there should be no commercial activity whatsoever. Teasers, previews etc. are just advertising for systems for sale, it definitely compromises the integrity and honesty of the forum which we've come to expect.

My thoughts:

Sellers like to qualify potential buyers. So to do that they employ techniques to stimulate interest.

And interested people are easier to sell to.

So their techniques FUNNEL people into going the next step -- "tell me more 'cos I'm interested."

For those reasons I say this:

On this site I'd like to see TOTAL BAN on breadcrumbs/teasers/pre-sales grooming documents that are intended beguile the reader, stimulate their hot-buttons and funnel them towards an eventual sale.

It's not hard to pick those sorts of approaches, and members can report them as soon as spotted.

Systems and system sellers.
Hmmmm...
We had this over at VLS.
So that is a SYSTEM... that some one is attempting to sell.
Now, a system is a series of thoughts put together.
Then some one with that system is trying to sell it.

Now, I am not, never have been a system seller.
Purchased one. Never again.

However, I do promote roulette related products.
Some of these products have systems in them.
Does that mean I am selling the systems they have?
I am promoting the service.
Not the system.

Does that clear that up?
Sure hope so.

Maybe the simple answer is to have a completely seperate section/Topic
of systems available for sale or hire, and an opening front page that
viewers would have to read before they could look at its contents?

This page would then contain all the usual comments and checks that
any member would have to abide by, and Victors can insert any legal
stuff and coments to warn, and therefore protect the forum as a whole.

It would seem the Majority of those that responded would prefer

No links to selling

No pdf breadcrumb trails
