Title: Stay or leave the casino?
Post by: MrJ on Jun 11, 06:28 PM 2015

There are FEW subjects on roulette regarding "being on the fence", this I admit, is one. When I see both sides of the logic, its tough to take a stance.

HIT & RUN...or...stay??

I hear, the longer you keep playing, the house edge creeps up on you and snatches your life. (lol)

Maybe but what about...you hit your win/goal at 80 spins, you leave. Next day, you hit your win/goal at 135 spins, you leave. Next day, you hit your win/goal at 115 spins, you leave etc.

So thats 330 spins. What is the HUGE difference if you stayed at the casino for 330 spins, then left? 330 is 330 regardless if its spread out over the week or over three months, its still 330.

Isn't all of roulette play one CONTINUOUS game? I'm not counting other goofy factors such as...the min bet went up (you cant afford it and now must leave) or too tired and need to go home etc.

A "hit & run" game might be.....you sat down at the EXACT time of a losing streak coming your way (you of course dont know this), just as easy as, you sat down at the EXACT time when your numbers will be hitting like crazy. Thoughts?

I guess it depends on how strong your method of play is....

IF it wins consistently, they you should be able to play continuously !!!!

AS in ANY amount of spins that it requires to get to whatever % of your BR your win/goal is.

Of course factors as you stated come into it.

I've stated here many times before, I only test for 100 spins, because physically
that's my limit at a B&M casino.

Hit and run definitely!

Arrive at the exact time, leave at no later than...(your set scheduled time)

From my experience staying too long is costly.  The
novice dealers leave and the seasoned ones come and take...

So you find that the dealer/s make that much of a difference Proof ?

Yes I do

There was a dealer who liked me and told me her
three favorite numbers.  All three hit within 10 spins.

Even Iboba/Teo once said "a packed table cannot lose for the casino".

Another great topic that could be turned into a thread. If I had to guess.....the majority of my losses were on a table of 1-3 players (myself included in that 1-3). There are times I get KILLED (talking 4K) when I am the only person playing, strange. When I play with a larger group, my NET is a thing of beauty !!! The down side of course, those spins are like one per six minutes, its like watching paint dry.

i agree

one time i was at the casino

a novice dealer was on duty....everyone was winning big

the pit boss pulled her and put in a veteran dealer....that dealer took everyones money

who knows if it was just a coincidence but a lot of these dealers are "good" at what they do

.....but a lot of these dealers that are "good", stare into space while spinning and chatting away with someone. Odd how sometimes, thats the dealer that wipes people out. (lol)

Could it just be imagination, sure.  One also
tends to remember the dealer that wiped you out.

If a dealer "thumps" the ball or anything other than slide the ball beginning the spin I'm suspect of that dealer.  I'm also leery if any dealer varies the speed of the rotor frequently.

(especially making it very fast)

If they do any of that but are NOT WATCHING the WHEEL/BALL, then it does not bother me. I see all the time the dealer picking up the ball while NOT looking. They put their hand in there and when the ball comes around...pick it up...and spin (not one time looking down into the wheel). << This is what I prefer.

"One also tends to remember the dealer that wiped you out" >>> lol, I think I agree.

I keep dates of the dealers I like/dont like per visit. The DATES (and table number) they wiped me out at. Was the ball clockwise or counter? If the dealer is new, I write a description of that person along with I.D. numbers (from their badges) for ALL dealers. I have all shifts written down, for the weekdays and weekends, etc. etc. etc.

This is what I do folks, I dont f**k around there. I walk in for combat, I'm not there to make new buddies.
