Why do users have multiple aliases?
A few theories:
1. Sometimes it seems that when a person has an unpopular point of view, they create another persona to back them up in order to create support for the view.
2. I imagine that forumers, much like in real-life, find that they have different personalities depending on the circumstances and create a 'persona' to go along with the mood.
3. Create a username just for venting purposes.
4. I think that there are people that have a specific beef with a player or the GM, or whomever, and they create a specific username exclusively for bashing that particular person.
5. Peer pressure - sounds odd, but what I mean is that when you've been on a forum for a long time, friendships/alliances seem to form. If a member of one of these groups wants to express something unpopular within that group, they might feel compelled to express those feelings under a different alias so as not to rock the boat or 'tarnish' their image.

This is happening here all the time. I wont mention any names but what I will say is the Australians seem to like house sharing. Perhaps internet is expensive their and they IP share. Dunno.
Its not hard to work out who is who when you are a mod.
What I am considering is to ban the older ones who havnt posted for ages, for a week or 2. If its innocent, no one notices. If its as I expect, then all their IPs will be blocked.
I know who they are simply by the similarities in the profile quotes and pictures.

8. No multiple IDs - if you are found to have multiple accounts on the forum, all will be removed.
