Title: Independence vs. Dependence
Post by: falkor2k15 on Feb 08, 07:21 AM 2017
Most claim that Roulette cannot be beaten due to outcomes being equally like and independent, but let's say we have outcomes that are not equally like and dependent: that still doesn't mean we can beat it, right? Leaving aside the (un)equally-likely part I don't think dependency in particular really helps; does it?

There is a mathematical proof for the first part - why equally likely and independence ensures that the house edge catches up with law of large numbers. However there is no mathematical proof to prove or disprove against what you have written. The toughest nut to crack has always been finding the equally likley and dependent events that provides odds better than its occurance.

OK, it seems I found edge tonight using unequally likely outcomes and dependency. All I did was bet double dozens and came out +200 with about twice as many placed bets, so I guess it really does work: these 2 concepts are all that's really needed for the most part. I never used any stitching or most of the other concepts....  :-X

What are the rules and guidelines to your strategy of play?

When XYZ happens, what do you do?

Using a friend's webhost... did you check out the file?

Ha. Thanks.  I practice Wing Chun (Ving Tsun) so I may be a bit biased towards that style.
