It deals with the ecart, or whatever. Or standard deviation.
It needs to be such that when a number is put in the software, it calculates the ecart for singles, dozens, columns, and lanes or double streets. When it ecart reaches a certain level, say 3 for singles, it will show that in a readout. (This must be a software you use as you play, not one that looks at past spins from a file.)
Combining this with another idea would create what I call a "double advantage" method of play which would be very sound mechanically and mathematically.
Would it lose 2.7% Don't know. Still I'd like to try it.

Sam, I wrote a program which tracks the SD of all locations and changes the colour when a deviation reaches certain limits. I might be able to adapt it fairly easily so that it shows the actual (numerical) deviation instead, but it wouldn't be a high priority at the moment.

Thank you so much! I would only need an alert: color, noise, reading--doesn't matter. I will study as time permits.

No worries Sam. Just remember; any winning systems developed as a result of using said software remain the property of the program's creator. :D j/k
By Jove, this is just what the doctor ordered! Thanks a ton. I will learn all about the program and then post my idea under the brainstorming section.

Sam, it's so good to see you back.
Your enthusiasm, creativity and analytical skills have enhanced the forum overnight.
Long may you have the health, time and energy to participate, during your northern winter.
Thank you, dear Esoito.
A while back I mowed the lawn and had no roulette problems to ponder. Nearly went nuts.
Today I mowed and thought about Bayes and the standard deviation. Much more enjoyable.
