I have a question about Oscar's Grind system. I want to bet maximum 4 units. Should i return to 1 unit bet as soon as i make 4 unit bet? Or should i bet 4 units until i get first win and then accept the loss and start again with 1 unit? Or should i continue betting 4 units until i make a profit?
I read different sources about Oscar's Grind system, some resources say that the original system has 4 stages 1,2,3,4 units. What says the original system about this?
I would be very thankful if you could answer the question.
Oscar's Grind has no 4 units limit. It's up to you and your bankroll to decide the limit.
If you want to play with a 4 units limit I would suggest, just bet once 4 units ans win or lose return to 1. Makes more sense since the point is that higher your bet goes the probability of consecutive wins increase.

Thanks for the reply. I know how much you are experienced at roulette from your articles and i know your Kavouras system. Do you also suggest the same thing if i play with 5,6,7 etc. units limit? Thanks in advance for your reply. I am very happy to get reply from such a big roulette player.
Thank you for your kind words. Pretty rare these days.
Now this is How I would play Oscar's if I had say a limit of maximum bet 7 units:
- First of all, at any point if you are in profit you end and start over with 1 unit.
- Secondly, Never make a bet that gives you more than 1 unit profit.
For example.
1 L
1 L
1 L
1 W
2 L
2 L (total loss so far 6 units)
2 W
3 W
(now my total loss is 1 unit, next bet instead of betting 4 I will bet 2 to aim for just 1 unit profit, this makes the progression safer)
- When you reach your maximum bet, if you lose the first bet at this level you start over and return to 1 unit. If you win your first maximum bet, you keep betting at this level until you either lose once (after a loss at the max level you start over) or you return to profit according to previews 2 rules.
I hope this helps.
Btw, Oscrar's is a very good approach. I have an idea about a D'Alembert-Oscar's combination progression. I may post it some time.
