As much as I know they spin wheels in american casinos very frequently, twice a minute average. Is it true? do they give you enough time to place your bets as in European casinos?

sometimes when you are winning they wont even give you time to place all your bets
they do this on purpose
one time on a cruise out of NYC I was up big, new dealer called in....said no more bets after 3 seconds, tried to bring moral down
