Title: Any Bored Programmers Out There?
Post by: ScoobyDoo on Feb 10, 05:32 PM 2011
We need a coder to program something that will take a matrix for dozens (7-spins wide) to determine how many of the same dozen will line up vertically in any colume such as:

3 2 2 1 2 1 3
2 1 2 3 1 2 3
1 2 3 2 2 1 3
2 1 2 1 3 2 3<---The last colume has four in a row

We are interested in learning how many times a group of three and groups of four and higher happen.

If some of you are interested, please contact Twisteruk or Johnlegend in the thread:

MATRIX VERTICAL METHOD ONLY

Could really use your help.

Dear Scooby,
Why did u start one topic in two names in two sections? I can see same topic in coding for roulette too.

Quoteto determine how many of the same dozen will line up vertically in any colume

Already done scooby, it happens too often, the losses eat the profit at the expected rate over time, some wont believe and carry regardless.

I'm afraid so. The chance that a dozen will be the same as the one immediately above is just 12/37. Arranging the way past outcomes are shown cannot possibly have an effect on the long-run expectation.

I don't see Five Vertical Quads in a row anywhere here ?

Remember is Five separate Quads in a row, Vertically, one after the other that kills us

IF a Trip becomes a Quad you wait for the next Trip. You ignore the Quad that just happened (for betting purposes)

I've highlighted the winner

I take it then, that this new game is more like playing:-

ANTI-QUADS?

Betting against a Quad forming eh?

(I've been out of the loop on this baby.)

There is a vertical line of 7 Cs, but at what point would you have stopped betting for the line not to continue?

On the 4th step

You only bet it once.
