Title: system
Post by: maestro on May 30, 11:36 AM 2012
i am just trying to understand what the good system has to look like ...so is there any pinpoints to look for...say in milion spins comes in profit does it matter how many bets are placed and also if pass milion spins in profit but loses in 1000 or less does it mean that system is not good...thank you very much

I can't remember where I read it, but there was some info recently suggesting playing just 1 or 2 numbers was the way to go. It showed comparisons with someone betting the even chances over a LOT of spins. The even chance players got wiped out pretty quick sometimes and the guys just backing a few numbers were still moving forward.

It makes sense to me at least. I have seen guys down the years cover most of the board and have some horrible and prolonged bad luck. You would think the variance would be manageable. Unfortunately, that is not necessarily the case. Some of the veterans on these forums like Mr J advice just playing several numbers (between 2-4) as well. The trick is obviously how you combat the long absences playing just a few numbers. Some people seem to think playing random against random is a solution. Others may like to incorporate some variant of the 'rule of the third'. Maybe some kind of reversion to the mean might do the trick.

It pays to look at everything and see if you can incorporate a little bit of all of these without overcomplicating things too much. (It's easier said than done)

Winning at roulette is a bit like riding an elevator. You have to learn when to get on and get off.

Of course the great thing of playing just a few numbers or a few splits or even a few streets is that you can track all three at the same time. If it's a winner, you only need to flat bet. No complications with staking plans. Winning is easy. Losing comes with a sore head in more ways than one.

It all lies with the dealer in my opinion.  Write down the numbers a dealer spins, usually a dealer has a "Favorite" sector of the wheel.  After about three 30 minute sessions, you should have a fairly good idea where the bias is.  After a virtual hit on the 3 or four numbers that have the most repeaters under that dealer, continuously bet those numbers flat-bet.
(My take on the topic :)   )

I'm saying you have to keep records (in general) of various dealer's spins.  Which ever dealer comes on, you will have his/her bias numbers.

Has anyone ever commenced betting a system without charting previous spins ?

If so, how well did you do?
