Different Bet Method

Hello Everybody,

Okay, here's another way of handling even chance betting that gives you a lot of control over your bet sizes.

It's called the Deance method by some.

We begin very much like a labby in that we write out a sequence of 1's that represent how many units we want to win.  A difference is with this method we only bet 1 unit at a time.  We don't add 2 together trying to wipe out 2 losses with 1 win.

For this explanation, let's use 5 units.

Our beginning line looks like this:

1  1  1  1  1

Our first bet is the rightmost amount which is 1 unit.
If we win our 1st bet our line looks like this.

1  1  1  1

Next bet is the rightmost number which is 1 again.
If we lose this bet, we replace the 1 that we won last bet and we have this line.

1  1  1  1  1

Our next bet is the rightmost number which is 1 again.
If we lose this bet, we cannot have more bets in a line than we started with and we started with 5 and still have 5 so we add the 1 unit lost to the 1st 1 unit in our line and we get:

2  1  1  1  1

Now we bet our rightmost number again which is 1 unit.  If we lose again we must repeat the above action but this time we add it to the second 1 from the left and we get:

2  2  1  1  1

Now we bet 1 and win so we cross off the rightmost 1 and we get:

2  2  1  1

Our next bet is also 1 and we win it so we cross off the rightmost 1 and we get:

2  2  1

Our next bet is also 1 and we lose so we add 1 to the right end of our line and we get:

2  2  1  1

Our next bet is also 1 and we lose so we add 1 to the right end of our line and we get:

2  2  1  1  1

Our next bet is also 1 and we lose so we don't have any more spots at the right end of our line, so we must add it to the leftmost 1 unit and we get:

2  2  2  1  1

We continue in this manner until we have eliminated all bets and we end up with a win of 5 units.  The number of units we start our line with.

At any point if we reach +1, we reset our original line and start over. (This is not cast in stone, you could play until you finish the line and win your 5 units)

Be aware that your line could look like this with a bad streak of losses:

12  12  12  11  11
or
22  22  22  21  21
or worse

No guarantees since we are gambling.

We can start with any number of 1's we want from 1 to 10 or 20 or 1000.

The more 1's you want to start with, the more likely you will be flat betting for a long time.  But it is very safe.

I want to mention 1 factor that is the downfall of all these type betting methods.  If you start out with a losing stretch and then when you get to the end, you have another losing streak when your bet size has increased, you can still find yourself betting large bets.

The remedy is to take the large bets and break them down into smaller bets and play these lines until you recover.  This can leave you digging out for a long time and with a bad enough downturn you can spend the rest of your life digging out.

That's the gamble we must be willing to take in order to keep our bets low.

At some point sooner or later you will probably reach a point where you should just take a loss and get on with your life.

If you look at the topic "Beating roulette with math" you will see that they often times play for hundreds of spins to finally win 10 or 15 units.  You have to decide how much risk you want to take verses how long you are willing to grind.

Finally, I think this is a very good betting method for even chances and with some thought can be adapted to other payoff bets as well.  If can be expanded in the middle of a session if things start to get out of control by just increasing the number of spots in your line.

You're in control of this thing, so have fun.

In case anyone is ever interested in this method, I forgot to continue beyond the 2 unit bets because it's a little different than you might think.

If you reach the following line:

2  2  2  2  2

Now you lose a 2 unit bet, you do not add the 2 units lost on the next line to the 2 units on this line, rather you break the 2 units into 1's and add a 1 to 2 of the numbers on this line so our new line will look like this:

3  3  2  2  2

The reason for this is that if we didn't, we would just be creating 5 series of martingales.
By doing it the above way you don't increase your bet size so rapidly in a losing sequence.

Of course, if you want to you can add the 2's together and create the next line with 4's and you will finish the pattern more quickly, but you will also end up betting much larger bets.

Another example of the correct way to do it.

We have 5  5  5  5  5 and we lose, our next line will be  6  6  6  6  6 this is because we have to break the 5 units into 1's and add these 1's to the current line which will fill up the next line with 6's.

If we have 8  8  8  8  8 and we lose the next bet of 8 units our next line will look like this:

9   9   10  10  10

When you're having a bad day any system will either take forever to clear or your bets are going to have to get larger than you like.

Cheers

Hi All,

I thought I would try out the Progression Deance from the Win-Maxx site.

I was going to start a thread but I noticed that George had already beaten me to it.

Could someone who knows this progression please check my session for me.

I played 3 mini sessions with a total of +12 units in 40 spins.

Thanks

Hi George,

I have attached it again.

What problem are you having I noticed 9 people have downloaded the file so far it is in excel format.

Maybe it was something to do with the server move.

Thanks

Okay,  I looked at your spreadsheet and it looks right to me. 8)

I know this is a dead subject, but I was just reading through it again and realized that I made a mistake in the last example I gave which I have highlighted in Red above.

If our line is 8 8 8 8 8 and we lose the rightmost 8, our new line will look like this: 10 10 10 9 9.

By the way, this really is a very solid progression method.

Though not the same, it does in some ways resemble the H P Johnson system.

They do share a similar characteristic.  Probably not a dimes worth of difference between the two in the long run.
