This is a tweak on Oscar's Grind, also known as Pluscoup.  It's also a tweak on Full Trioplay's bet progression.
Rule #1)  We only increase our bets after a win.
Rule #2)  We never increase our bet size to more than double the current bet size.
Rule #3)  We increase our bet size by half the number of losses we have had since the last win.  Round down.
Rule #4)  We never decrease our bet size until we reach a new profit or our current bet size is larger than needed to reach +1 with a win.  In this case we reduce our bet size appropriately and reset our losses to zero.
Rule #5)  Never bet more than enough to reach +1.
Rule #6)  stop-loss can be either when a pre-determined bet size is lost or when a pre-determined number of units are lost.
Rule #7)  Buy-in is 200-300 units recommended.  100 units if you don't mind more buy-in losses. Your option.
Rule #8)  Win target is 20-30 units per attack.  Your option.
Rule #9)  Maximum of 3 attacks per session.  Your option.
Rule #10)  Maximum of 2 sessions per day.  Your option.
Use your own bet selection method.  If it's mechanical, there will be no result difference in the long run from any other mechanical bet selection method.
This method wins against all but the worst loss to win ratios.  Because of the random nature of these games, this will happen.  Expect it!!
It can be adapted to other bets with different payouts.  I haven't worked out the numbers and don't intend to.  Anyone with an understanding of roulette and bet progressions can make the adjustments.  I don't mean to be lazy, I just don't have the time.

Examples:
Start with 1 unit.  Every win until your 1st loss goes into profits.  On you first loss, start tracking losses.  Each loss will represent a 1 unit loss until your next win.  On you next win, reduce the number of losses by 1 and divide the number of remaining losses in half and add that number of units to your bet amount.  Your next bet size cannot be more than double the current bet size no matter how many losses you have.  That means you can only go to 2 units after betting at the 1 unit level. You can bet 3 or 4 units from the 2 unit level.  You can bet 6,7,8,9 or 10 units from the 5 unit level etc...  The purpose of this is to keep from having to increase our bet size too quickly if we run into an unusually long stretch of losses.
Let's say our 1st 10 results are WWLLLLLWWW.  Here's how we would bet it.
W  1 unit won and put into profits.
W  1 unit won and put into profits.
L  1 unit lost.  1 loss.    -1
L  1 unit lost.  2 losses.  -2
L  1 unit lost.  3 losses.  -3
L  1 unit lost.  4 losses.  -4
L  1 unit lost.  5 losses.  -5
W  1 unit won.  Off-sets 1 loss leaving 4 losses (-4).  4 divided by 2 = 2.  Increase our next bet amount by 2 units.  Oops, that would be 3 units but we're limited by rule #2 so we can only bet 2 units.
W  2 units won.  0 losses.  There are no losses so we don't increase our bet size.  -5+2=-3
W  2 units won.  0 losses.  Still no losses so again no bet size increase.          -3+2=-1
Let's continue with the following LLLLLLWWWLLLWLLLLWWWWLWWW
L  2 units lost. 1 loss.    -3
L  2 units lost. 2 losses.  -5
L  2 units lost. 3 losses.  -7
L  2 units lost. 4 losses.  -9
L  2 units lost. 5 losses.  -11
L  2 units lost. 6 losses.  -13
W  2 units won.  5 losses.   5 divided by 2 = 2.5.  Round down.  Increase bet size by 2.  Reset losses to 0.  Next bet = 2 + 2 = 4 units.   -13+2= -11
W  4 units won.  0 losses.  -7
W  4 units won.  0 losses.  -3
L  4 units lost. 1 loss.    -7
L  4 units lost. 2 losses.  -11
L  4 units lost. 3 losses.  -15
W  4 units won.  2 losses.   2 divided by 2 = 1.  Increase bet size by 1.  Reset losses to 0.  Next bet = 5 units.  -11
L  5 units lost. 1 loss.    -16
L  5 units lost. 2 losses.  -21.
L  5 units lost. 3 losses.  -26
L  5 units lost. 4 losses.  -31
W  5 units won.  3 losses.  -26   Divide 3 by 2 = 1.5 rounded down = 1. Reset losses to 0. Next bet = 6.
W  6 units won.  0 losses.  -20 No losses so bet stays the same.
W  6 units won.  0 losses.  -14
W  6 units won.  0 losses.  -8
L  6 units lost. 1 loss.    -14
W  6 units won.  0 losses.  -8 No losses so bet stays the same.
W  6 units won.  0 losses.   -2  Rules 4&5 kick in.  If we bet 6 units, a win puts us at +4.  That's too many.  3 units is correct.
W  3 unit won.   0 losses.  +1  Re-set  See the following for more on this move.
etc...
Let's say we are well into an attack and find ourselves at -35 units betting 21 units.
W  we win 21 units so -35+21 = -14  If we bet 21 units next and win we will be +7 units which violates rule #5.  Therefore, we have to reduce our bet size to 15 because a win would give us our +1 target.  If we had any losses, they are wiped out when we reduce our bet.  If we lose our 15 unit bet, we would record 1 loss and -14-15=-29 and our next bet would be 15 units.  We just continue per normal but at the new reduced bet size.  This helps keep our bet sizes manageable most of the time.

Well done GLC!  Thank you very much.  I want to thank you for your contribution on money management when it comes to this wonderful game.  I have applied several of your money management methods and just your plain old good advice to my style of play with solid results.  Thank you again for taking the time to type this all up and look forward to your next!  Happy New Year!

Thanks for the kind words, 47.

One final thought.  You can tweak the aggressiveness of the progression by dividing the losses by different numbers.

Dividing by 2 means that you recover at a pretty quick pace.

Divide by 3 and it'll take a little longer, but you'll be betting smaller bets.

There's also  no reason why you can't change divisors if the bets start getting too large for your blood pressure.  What I mean is this.  Let's say things are really going South in a hurry and you're betting 10 or more units.  If you just lost 6 times, your next bets will be at 13 units each.  You could divide by 3 instead of 2 and only go to 12 units, or divide by 4 and only go to 11 units.

Just remember that a short burst of wins at larger units can recover completely, whereas a short burst of wins at smaller units will leave you still in the hole and if you go into another losing trend, your losing a larger units.  This is the risk/reward to be worked out with any progression.

Let's say you just lost 6 bets at 5 units per bet.  That's -30 units.  By dividing the number of losses by 2, we increase our bet size by 3 which means we bet 8 units.  You only need to win 4 times to recover the 30 lost units and be up by 2 units.  If you had divided by 3, we would increase our bet size by 2 which means we will bet 7 units.  4 wins at 7 units is only 28 units, so we need to win a 5th time to fully recover.

The theory behind the progression is that if we're having a really bad run of luck, we will be betting larger bets "hoping" to have a balancing run of wins which will pull us out of the hole.

Sometimes this works, sometimes not.  Be prepared with your personal stop-loss.  It WILL come into play periodically.

In my mind, using some of these systems on this forum makes roulette one of the safest games to play in a casino.  Will you win every time?  No!  Be realistic in your expectations.

Thats a great observation - thank you for sharing!   I will also share that I really enjoy your Clean Up before you Move Up money management approach.  As you probably already know from some of my posts (not many), my style of play is mostly Hit & Run and because I rarely encounter double or triple losses on a 2 or 3 step progression, I enjoy playing the more aggressive line of 1,3,5,7,9.... just thought you might like to know someone is using it  :)   I have one method that I personally play straight of the gate without any charting/tracking for 18 straight spins and your Situational Progression For Even Chances Bet will work much better for me... and so thank you for sharing again!

I'm glad to know it's not just me and Hal talking to one another out in deep space.

The interesting thing is that I've had people contact me on facebook and tell me that they are using some of my progressions on blackjack and other games.  One guy said he was using my flat bet parlay progression betting on baseball and he's never felt so in control before.  I just hope it's more his handicapping and not just my progression because we all know that no progression, no matter how complicated it is, overcomes poor bet selection.

I like the 1-3-5-7-9 Clean up before move up also.  It seems to be just the right amount of risk to keep from going into steep drawdowns most of the time.

Continued good luck wishes, 47
