I've been thinking about Winkel's and Teo's systems that have us aiming for a win target greater than +1.  Teo's is +50 and Winkel's is as much as you want.

One thing I've noticed is that sometimes when we're playing until just +1, we can reach +1 and reset and immediately have a lot of wins.  Maybe even enough to shoot us to +50 in just a few spins if we hadn't lowered our bet size.  Also, just winning +1 each attack can be wiped out pretty quickly with a bad run and they come up all too often.

If we shoot for +1 fifty times, we will run into some pretty hairy sessions along the way that can eat up stop losses pretty quick.

I've noticed that it takes a lot of bets to win +50 at +1 then reset, but not so many if you don't reset until you reach +50.

I know that the logic is to keep our bet sizes as small as possible, especially just prior to going into a nasty down turn.  But do these down turns go so far as to wipe out our bankroll before a turn around even if it means we have to bet some larger bets than with the +1 target?

Any thoughts on this concept?

In my case it doesn't matter.  I'm both!

I guess what has caused my dilemma is Winkel's comment that you need to win enough when you win so that the times you lose aren't that devastating.  When shooting for +1 unit at a time, the losses seem to always be devastating.  Or does that just tell us that we're making our stop loss to large in relation to our win target?

If you are winning (which you must be in order to wipeout a deficit and get back in the black) why would you prematurely reduce the bet and take the whole profit out of the method?

Ride it out...if within a few spins you are back in the red...consider a reboot at another time with a higher starting point.

Business is business...It's gotta be worth your while.  If you are just doing it for fun there are any number of "play money" options available to just play and test your theories.

I guess the one exception to this might be if you have been severely down all friggin day and are just thanking your lucky stars you are back to even when you get to the +1 point.  But I would likely still give it a few more spins if I was winning with some real money on the table just to see...but I'm just that way...it is gambling after all ;)
