So now Ur left with no forum income again!

U are too soft Victor.

U have retracted due to pressure.

There is another way, a more clever way, and one that we are all used to seeing.

Take a look.........................[reveal][attach=#][/reveal]

I personally think this style would be tolerated by members,
esp if they thought it was earning a few dimes for their favourite Forum.

I may get more kick-back, since the ads will not be pop-ups,
but rolling along the side where the forum is not used,
and be a permanent on feature.

my only condition is they did not appear when Ur typing/send a PM.

What do U think................Victor, and all the guys/gals here?

Please give Ur opinions..

Because, no income, is not an option now,
in this ever increasingly more expensive world we live in!

Cheers Chris

I wouldn't mind the ads at all. It's the popping up that done my head in. If they're on the side like chris has suggested, I'm cool with that.

I didn't mind the ads Victor.  Why not make some money from the forum?

No problems here with the ads either Victor. A good idea in what Chris is suggesting.

Oh Well, I enjoy the forum as any other user and dislike ads as well. It isn't worth to annoy users for some cents/day.

I saw the *alleged* rates for the binlayer ad and I thought they could work, but in practice, they don't.

On the other hand, we will survive. Worst case scenario is a little donations box "pops" at the end of the month by the News section. Best case scenario, NO ads  again starting now :)

Cheers and thanks for caring!

@VLS

Is the side panel ads possible Victor?

I wouldn't have a problem with the ads as Chris proposed, but whatever you decide is cool.

Victor.

New Topic.

Set up a poll on the subject, completed before the end of the week.

Question.

In order to help fund the Forum for the future:-
Would U object to some form of 'side panel' advertising, in the forum general pages?

Yes.
No.
