A series 6.

It came after two twin series of 2blacks.
Its a frequent occurrence.
A frequency dare I say.

Regards Chris

True did not see that as i have no simulation software for this one - then the STD is lower as a serie of six has the value of 4 - but still way over 2.00 STD - 19/6=2.60 STD
Denial of gamblers fallacy is usually seen in people who has Roulette as last option for a way to wealth, debt covering and a independent lifestyle.  Next step is pretty ugly-
AP - It's not that it can't be done, but rather people don't really have a clue as to the level of fanaticism and outright obsession that it takes to be successful, let alone get to the level where you can take money out of the casinos on a regular basis. Bayes

There's a statistical test called the 'Runs Test' which is related to this thread, there's an article on it at Random.org.

Even though the runs test is for detecting non-randomness, you should expect some sequences to fail the test. It might be interesting to compare some of the sequences in this thread that generate 3.00 std dev with results from a runs test, there's a calculator here.

I'll post up the formula in the math section later.
