Odds and payouts are different things. If either the odds or payouts don't change, then the result is the same - eventual loss.

Is stopping at +1 our best option?

I've been thinking about the concept of stopping at +1 and then resetting a progression.  On one of my recent posts I suggested that we play our progression until we have a loss that leaves us still at at least +1.

My thinking is that by stopping mechanically at +1, we could be cutting short a streak of wins of indefinite length.

There are 2 obvious negatives I can think of right off the top of my head.  1)  If we continue to bet when we reach +1 and we lose, we might never get back to +1 again.   2)  If we continue to bet our progression and our next bet will put us at a much larger number than +1, if we place that bet instead of lowering it to only win +1 and we're at the beginning of another losing trend, our large bets drive us rapidly into the hole.  Possibly enough to reach our stop-loss.

The obvious strength is that instead of stopping at +1, if we continue to play while winning, we will sometimes win a substantial amount more than +1.

What's your mind on this?

In my case it doesn't matter.  I'm both!

My opinion is that both ways result in the same thing.
And this is because nothing is due.
It s exactly like the positive and negative progressions.
Some sessions will be favoured by a positive prog and some by a negative prog.

So your question can t have a clear answer because both are the same.(it depents 100% of the fluctiation)

Here is how I see it.  In my baccarat play, I often--very often--get to +1 when I'm at step 6 of my progression.  That means I should bet 5u on my next bet.  I don't.  Look at your above statement.  If I'm betting 5u and never get back or 1u and never get back, I'll take the 1u.

Lower risks is in most situations better. But a method must win in a rate it is realistic to climb up from a losing streak.

If I progressing  on loss I stop as soon I get a plus, and sometimes if I am high in bet even break even or a minor loss.

If I progress on win I sometimes stop after two losses, If a win comes after the loss they cancel, and if I win again, the progression can continue, and if it works about half the times, or extends long the total winning should be more.

If   we are on RED and we get  RRRBRBRBRBRRBRRRBRRBRBRBRRRBRBB
The progression will win more than stop on first loss and go to two blacks shows.
