Hello all,

I'm betting 5 straight numbers on an American Roulette layout.

I need to be able to survive 40 spins.

Please assist by providing the bets amount that I have to apply for up to 40 spins. Thank you.

John

jr - The 40 spins have to fit within the table limits, so what's the minimum & maximum inside limits for the table you want to use ?

Watch us big doggs, the MEN, play at a REAL casino, on a REAL table. All we ask is that you stay out of our way. The rest? Bots, airball, RNG...that's more for the Kitty Kat Klub. Its the big doggs and the kittens!! Winning is not an event, it's a process and it takes YEARS and YEARS to master > link:://:.eonline.com/eol_images/Entire_Site/2014127/rs_560x415-140227131132-1024.bulldog-kittens3.jpg... To be great, you have to be willing to be mocked, hated and misunderstood.

By survive, do you mean cover the losses? Then it's easy to calculate. 1 unit on straight wins 36 units. You are betting 5 numbers, so that's 36/5=7.2 spins. After that, you add 1 more unit to each number, your calculation will be 36/10=3.6 spins. Adding 1 more unit, 36/15=2.4 spins. When you get to 36/35, you only have 1 spin to cover previous losses, after that, you have to add 2 units, and that will look like (36x2)/45=1.6 spins, and so on. For 40 spins to cover losses, you would need an very large bankroll. I played this way for a while, and I regularly had to bet 2000+ units just to win a few, so it's almost like martingale.

In my case it doesn't matter.  I'm both!

I made an excel sheet. Bet 5 means 1 chip per number, bet 10 means 2 chips per number ....
If we want in every spin to have the smallest possible profir (including zero in order to shorten up the rising of the betting) the list should be like this:

SPINS/BET/TOTAL BET/WIN AMOUNT

1   5   5   30
2   5   10   25
3   5   15   20
4   5   20   15
5   5   25   10
6   5   30   5
7   5   35   0
8   10   45   25
9   10   55   15
10   10   65   5
11   15   80   25
12   15   95   10
13   20   115   25
14   20   135   5
15   25   160   15
16   30   190   20
17   35   225   20
18   40   265   15
19   45   310    5
20   55   365    20
21   65   430     25
22   75   505     20
23   85   590     5
24   100   690     10
25   115   805      0
26   135   940      5
27   160   1100   20
28   185   1285   10
29   215   1500   5
30   250   1750   0
31   295   2045   20
32   345   2390   25
33   400   2790   10
34   465   3255   0
35   545   3800   15
36   635   4435   10
37   740   5175   5
38   865    6040   15
39   1010  7050   20
40   1180  8230   30

It seems that on the 40th spin you have to bet 1180 units (236 chips per number) in order to cover the 7.050 lost units you have already bet and earn 30 units.
If zero profit is not acceptable then, on the 40th spin you'd bet 1375 units (275 chips per number)
Attached, is the xls the file.
