Computer Problem

I know some of the guys here really know their stuff in regards to computer issues......I am not one of those guys. 

Here is my problem, perhaps you can help? Trying to watch videos on YouTube. It keeps saying to update my definitions (Adobe Flash Player). I did so but still cant view.

A little insight..... I was watching some other "special videos" involving Asians on a different site (cough, cough), thats when I got the problem.

I deleted all temp. files, did a scan of everything, attempted a system restore (it would not let me), started the computer in SAFE MODE, then attempted a system restore (still would not let me), temporarily turned off ant-virus to try and download AFP, that didn't work etc.

Kind of stuck here. Any ideas?

What browser are u using?
Did u try to use another browser like Google Chrome to see if the problem appears there as well?

I use IE. Did not yet try using another, good idea.

U could try to completely reset IE and see if that solves the problem.

I suggest you stop using IE. There are lots of browsers out there. IE gave me lots of problems a few years back, Firefox is much better.
you don't necessarily need Firefox, there are Chrome and other browsers,  but better don't use IE unless it is really necessary for some reasons.

Chrome still uses the IE engine I think. But firefox is independent and probably better option. If it still doesnt work in firefox, try uninstalling and reinstalling flash.

IE is an IT persons nightmare and use of it should be avoided at all costs.  The fact that Micro$oft can get away with forcing users to have it included in an operating system borders on criminal.  Firefox will always be my recommendation.

Chrome uses the Blink engine while IE uses the Trident and Chakra engine.

Done, cant fix it. I switched to Google Chrome, did Malwarebytes scan, did Spyhunter (paid for it), I did Spybot Search&Destroy (that took 7 hours, 130 critical items found)......I still cant download Adobe Flash Player.

The key that I know its a DEEP virus......I cant even do a system restore, thats how I usually know. Funny thing though, everything else is working just fine. The computer is not slow etc., its only
the flash player (lol). Looks like taking it into a shop is next on the list. Thanks guys for the effort!!

I need to stay away from "certain" sites.

It probably was never spyware or a virus. It just sounds just like a flash issue. Download sofwtare called revo uninstaller and uninstall flash with it (the advanced full uninstall with traces option), reboot then reinstall flash

I did uninstall, then installed again, did not fix it. I SHOULD be able to do a system restore regardless of my flash player. The two should have nothing in common but still cant restore to an earlier time, computer wont let me. I dont know.

Its not uncommon for the computer to fail to do a restore. Its usually a conflict of some kind.

If you did a normal uninstall, there are still left-over files which is why I suggested the revo uninstaller. Only other thing I'd suggest is maybe your firewall is blocking flash, ie check your security settings.

It is a black day if you cant visit those "special sites"..
