Bad idea.  Such a forum will inevitably end up like the betselection fourm, where scammers like Gizmo, XXVV, Blue Angel, and other hucksters can prosper buying skimming money from hapless newbies seeking the secrets to winning- while suppressing knowledge, the facts, and common sense.   It's a newbie trap.

In a free and open society if you do not like something, you do not have to participate

If Steve wants to have 2 forums, one like this, and one were members moderate, that's his business

I reckon you have the ability to create your own forum, if the gambling forums around do not suit you

When people complain that their cell service sucks, I say "make your own cell phone service company then". They don't like that

General, You are right.

However, once you start hearing or reading that posts have been deleted or are getting deleted. The admin , revokes the previleges from the person.

Which would be no abusing of the previlege.

Avoids people getting scammed.

What I don't like is someone says it out to everyone, they don't like it here. Yet they come over and stir shit.

I think, for now Steve, has taken care of that. Lets see what happens in a few weeks.

Correct of course I wouldnt allow obvious scamming. How would I know its scamming? Well when they're selling a martingale and claim its the holy grail and is an amazing money-maker, and buyers complain. Then it would be pretty obvious. And that's exactly what happened with Alabalah.

And anyone can remove posts from their own threads. Where I draw the line is editing someone's post to make it look like they said something they didnt, or to make them look bad. In that case, the member wouldnt be allowed to moderate their own threads anymore. Also keep in mind if someone unfairly edited, all someone would need to do is create their own thread. So there is incentive to be fair or you'll just screw yourself with a new thread you cant touch.

The only time I'd really step in and do something is if complete trash was being posted, like vile comments and insults, personal attacks and just trash. Keep that garbage for GF and GG. I'm not interested in dealing with kids.

I've given some thought to the direction of :.gamblersforum.com and made some changes. I'm about to heavily promote the forum, so it's going to get busy.

:.rouletteforum.cc will still be the main forum for roulette. But :.gamblersforum.com will be a generic gambling website.

Basically it will be moderated in a similar way to rouletteforum.cc, but will be more permissive. So you can get away with more at gamblersforum.com. Not a great deal more. Generally offending members wont be banned. They will just need to have their posts approved. Eventually they'll get the message that posting junk just wastes their time.

Promotion of gamblersforum.com has started, and will gradually increase in speed. There will be occasional RSS feed posts, with the initial ones being repeated topics. I'll try and clean it up so only new topics are listed, but it might be a bit annoying a for a while. It's not permanent though.

How it Works

1. Go to your profile page and click "Referral Tools".

These are three options to refer new members:

a. Using your referral link: You can use your unique "Referral Link" to send other people. If they click your link and join, you received credit for the referral.

b. Recommending a thread or post: Alternatively, you can enter the URL of a specific forum thread or post in the "Generate Referral Link" area. Then the link generated will direct people to the page you specified AND if they also join the forum, you are credited with the referral. This is a good option if you visit other forums and want to share an interesting thread from this forum.

c. Sending invitation emails: Use this form to send invitation emails to your friends. There is a limit to 5 emails per day. You must not send spam or invitations to people you don't know. If we receive any complaints, you will be ineligible to win.



Terms and Conditions


GENERAL

1. Entry is free, but you must be a member of this forum.

2. The competition closes when the forum's total amount of posts reaches 150,000 or 30th June 2018 (whichever is later).

3. Winners will be drawn within 7 days of the competition closing. Winners (forum usernames only) and prizes will be announced on this website, and winners will be informed directly via email.


HOW WINNERS ARE DRAWN

4. Within 7 days of the competition's closing, we will determine how many valid referrals have been made by each member.

5. Each "valid referral" will be assigned a random number from 1 to however many referrals are made. The referral number correlating to each referred member shall be known as the "Referral RNG Number".

6. Using a random number generator key from bitbabbler.org, we will generate 3 random numbers between 1 and however many referrals are made.

7. Members who referred the member with the drawn "Referral RNG Number" will be awarded the prizes set forth below.

• the referrer does not have multiple forum accounts (determined by IP matching)
  
• the referrer has not used a proxy when posting content on the forum
  
• the referrer has not spammed links, or engaged in any other unethical method of promotion
  

12. The definition of a "spammy" account is an account that, in our view, "contains a significant amount of short, irrelevant, or copied content that is likely to be as such as inflate the accounts number of posts."


TRACKING REFERRALS

13. Statistics displaying referrals are visible in each member's profile area.


GOVERNING LAW

14. This competition is conducted in accordance with the laws of Victoria, Australia.

* You can actually track referrals so you know you arent being cheated
* Very few strings attached
