It's Not About Money. It's about FREEDOM: :.landsharing.org

Most people want to beat roulette to make money, so they have freedom to live their way. So really it's about freedom - not money.
Younger people tend to want things like Lamborghinis. Older and wiser people just want to live without worrying about money, debt and bills.
How Roulette Started For Me

Since a young age, I wanted to develop "sustainable energy technology". So after high school, I studied Applied Physics at RMIT. I wanted to learn physics, to develop energy technology - not to have a career in physics. But I soon discovered the course taught "old news". It wouldn't teach what I needed, so I quit. This was a good move because I learned much more quickly on my own.

I also needed FUNDING for my energy research. After all, I needed equipment. But I also needed money for living expenses.

At around this time, the first casino opened in my area. And I believed roulette might be a good source of income, if I figured out how to beat it.

Anyway I'll explain more about my "journey" another time. But essentially I came to the conclusion that the problem with this world isn't technology. I mean sure, technology can make our lives easier. But we already have technology for near "free energy" like solar cells.

The real problem was consciousness. Put another way, the problem was our understanding of reality around us. After all, food grows from the ground. Water falls from the sky. And we already have ample technology for everything else, to make our lives comfortable - without constantly battling to make money.

There's a lot more to the story, but my focus shifted towards humanitarian projects.

In the past 20 or so years, my focus was still too much on making money. This was for my own comfort, but also to fund some of my humanitarian work too.

But I've been financially comfortable for some time now. And I understand changing the world isn't about new technology, or money to fund technology research. I see real change will not come from politics or leaders we elect. Real change needs to come from the ground up - it can only come from us.

Our most basic needs come from LAND (always has, always will). It gives us just about everything we need. So that's why I created :.landsharing.org - it's a site where people can share the cost of buying land, grow food for free, form communities, and basically work towards freedom. Already the shift is going this way, but change is too slow.

Visit :.landsharing.org

I had the website for some time, and it grew to about 1,000 users. But it was destroyed by spammers and hackers. And I haven't had the time to fix the problems, until now. Today is the official re-launch, and I'll promote it over the the coming weeks.

If freedom is your ultimate goal, perhaps register on the website and publish a listing of your own. I also appreciate your effort to share the website any way you can, and ask others to do the same (if you agree with my views).

Of course I still have a strong interest in roulette, but more as a hobby these days. It still pays much of my bills, although I have more autonomous revenue sources from investments - which give me more time to do what I want (again about freedom). I'll still continue to offer my technology for now, but I dont know when I'll stop. It also depends on when the company is sold. There's still a lot of interest, but few people want to take the plunge, especially with the state of the world lately.

Finally, probably some time next week I'll release the next video in my Youtube series. So far the videos are below:

PART 1:

PART 2:

PART 3:

The reactions from Part 3 were mixed. Most people loved it. Some people were quite offended, but not for the reasons you'd think. I'll explain that in the next video, which will probably offend even more people.

Cults and co-ops. 60's communes are a perfect example of the real problem. There will always be people that will work harder than others when trying to make it all work. They will hold it all together. It takes force to make the lazy get off their butts. That defeats the altruistic point of the community in the first place. The problem is basic human nature.  You can fix that without a commune. The plantation of your mind is the right place to start. You can set yourself free without running a cult. People will disappoint you. They will hang around for anything free. Only free sometimes ends up costing way more than you thought it ever would.
Reading Randomness is a single thread. It is backed up by a software instruction thread and software download threads. The Even Chance Pro 1.4 version is the best version to practice on.

Cognitive dissonance much?

Amazing stuff Steve and totally agree with your views regarding freedom and money. I hope this site will grow internationally.

A lot of people who haven't "made it" and have not experienced financial success, won't be able to understand this unfortunately.

As Jim Carrey has said - "I wish everyone could get rich and famous and everything they ever dreamed of so they can see that's not the answer.”"

vladir

I think I can agree with all that you said.

Indeed it's not about the money.

To be honest, I personally don't even like roulette, its a boring game, but as you and many others , I started looking at it as a source of funding for other stuff. In the end it's as you said, it's not about the money but about not having to worry with bills and other crap and have the freedom to do whatever you want - including REAL work!

I'm personally not "lazy" - I'm lazy about repeatable tasks that can be automated - but I'm just so tired of the everyday routines, bureaucracies, and everything else I'm forced to do (that don't really produce anything, most of the papers and bills we have to fill in the end are just "accounting and controlling" and could all basically be automated),  that I don't end up with energy for REAL works and projects that could benefit communities even more then myself.

The reality, not just for me, but for most people, is that we have to spend most of our energy and time in useless jobs, to bring home some money to buy the basics for survival, and as such we can't put much effort in things that we could say, actually do matter, but don't bring any profit in the short-mid or even long term.  That's sadly the kind of world we created for most people.

About what the real problem is, I think this is the most complete thing I read on the subject:

Btw, I think your landsharing website falls in the category of free trade.

And thanks for your effort for a better world.

Vladir, sounds like you're more aware than most people.

In a very advanced society, perhaps trade wont be needed. But realistically it is still needed for us. We cant realistically provide everything we either want or need (for ourselves). But trade is currently monopolized through "money". That needs to change.

Kairo, old village life used to be a bit like that - when people had control over their own land. One problem is people cant easily own land these days. And even if they do, they are restricted on what they can do with it. Even if you have 100 acres and want to provide land for for families with nothing, you can't legally do it.
