It was asked of me when a was a naive carpenter apprentice. It was this old guy's way of bringing up religion. I've always like it. So there is at least evidence that a guy named Jesus existed and was killed. I like that fact that he had zero time to hang out much with the rulers of religion where he was at. I think that guy hated religion and obey. They used it to make other people's lives miserable and to keep them in authority. He stood up to all that and they killed him. We have the same religion today. If you say the wrong thing you get fired. If you still like America you are a racist. Nothing changes. People are still stuck with the basic calamities of human nature. There's something going on with that being set free stuff and it sure the hell has very little to do with obeying. But I don't care. I'm tired of control freaks.

I would, and I just did and will continue to do so
I’ve always thought it was narrow-minded to not even be open to the idea that God could exist, even before my spiritual encounters. After all, we exist, and I think of it this way: imagine you didn’t exist but could somehow have a belief or opinion on if people/life could exist. You would probably say, “no way, that’s impossible” about life existing. I know it would be impossible to have an opinion on this if you didn’t exist; just use your imagination.

Do you think Satan is also bs or are you one of them that believes Satan is god and god is fake? Do you just consider everything spiritual to be b.s.? What are your beliefs on remote viewing, astral projection, and telekinesis?

This almost feels like a Flat Earther pseudo-science thread except for the subject matter.

Ed Dames - remote viewer - called out a extinction-level-event kill shot (giant solar flare scorcher a decade+ ago) on Planet Earth.  I was certain enough to buy his DVD.

And as a kid I sent my condolences to all the unbaptized kids in secular countries because of the implication of eternal damnation.

Then I read up on Richard Dawkins and I'm so relieved to be a practical agnostic.  Occam's Razor has to count for something, right?

Here's what I believe:

There's no Christian God, or at least how such a God is perceived. That is unless you're talking about a group of ETs. But there is some kind of divine source of consciousness that we're all part of, well above those ETs. From this perspective, that's the real God. And it is the same "God" for all religions, whatever you call it. But it shouldn't really be called "God" IMO. It's more "the everything" than a separate entity.

There are plenty of highly evolved beings that you could call "Gods". They have the ability to create whatever they want, through whatever means that are well beyond our understanding.

Jesus was probably real, but rather than be a "son of a guy on a throne", he was/is a very consciousness being. There have been others like him. I believe what is taught about him is mostly twisted from reality.

Humans are genetically engineered, designed to be a slave race. We have been tinkered with (our DNA) over hundreds of thousands of years by multiple groups (good and bad).

We are living in a massive zoo, with so many agendas and things going on. It's a big messy puzzle. So its not easy to make the situation clear.

Satan may very well exist, and it includes his "angels" who originally wanted to advance the human race. Or more that he had a different opinion on how we should evolve. He and his "angels" disobeyed and were kind of marooned here. Partly as revenge and partly to prove his point, he and his followers are deliberately corrupting us. This is not just to better control us.

I'm still piecing it together. I'm finding the bible is mostly true, although that god is not THE god. The Christian bible is only part of the puzzle.

Moxy its very different to flat Earther crap. Flat Earthers dont even understand basic principles. I have an open and scientific mind. I dont believe something just because it's what I want.

What I want is the truth, no matter how inconvenient or incredible it sounds.

Most of the world believes some guy on a throne waved his wand and made our civilization. It sounds like a crackpot theory. That's what most people believed.

I used to be religious. Then I grew up and saw how stupid it was. I was more akin to Darwinian theories. Now as my understanding evolved, the god thing has merit to it - but I think it's more likely an ET race. Sure other life forms have evolved naturally. But humans aren't natural at all.

A lot of people start learning about it all from this guy (mostly his book "Chariots of the Gods":

If suicide rates go up just 1% (from depression/being on lockdown/being isolated), and the numbers are looking like it has gone up more than this, then this (the suicides) would contribute to more deaths to the children than coronavirus.

I've considered suicide. Every time someone makes a boneheaded statement. I just have a hard time understanding how some people are so stupid.

This is how I feel:

The religion revealed to the prophets of various nations was the same, but in the course of time it had been misinterpreted and become mixed up with superstitions and degenerated into magical practices and meaningless rituals.

Nothingness, the big bang, the expansion of the universe, then the death of the universe via entropy is the only certainty.   There could be bubble universes oscillating indefinitely from nothingness to expansion to entropy death - rinse and repeat.  There could be infinite(?) parallel universes perpendicular to ours in their own timeline.   I'll stick to the former and most feasible.

Higher forms of intelligence exists. I have zero doubt.  But God-tier interconnectivity is probably just an advanced form of "jacking in" i.e. Ghost in the Shell, The Matrix, via psychic ability melding with advanced tech, and the more likely Alien DNA origin story would be from asteroid inception but I wouldn't rule out your theory.  I liked Prometheus as well.

So yes, God-like entities (specifically referring to their advanced "other worldly" qualities) very could exist but the notion of a God itself in all this mess is as feasible as the Easter Bunny.

Sorry.  I felt pretty bad too about God.

I appreciate the divine nature of a collective consciousness after death.  It gives us something to look forward to.  But I'm quite confident we 'make like a tree and leave'.  As with the tree, we're also recycled into the flora and fauna - before casket burials obviously - and that's it; after-life consciousness be damned.

I resent being the Debbie Downer of Easter Bunnies.

There are only two paths.Path to Hell or Paradise. And the path that you're living today will determine what happens tomorrow. Chose wisely.
