Hi, this is my first post here and perhaps my last depending on its reception...

At the start of my roulette journey, I got hoodwinked by a system I discovered on YouTube. Said system advised players to bet on this pattern: R B R B R R B B and to use a Martingale progression. It seemed amazing at first but ultimately it was revealed to be complete twaddle.

Is it because R B R B R R B B too closely resembles a random pattern? What if you bet on a pattern that appeared less random. In my case, I bet on R R B B ad infinitum. I use a martingale progression and it seems to work. I mean how long can R R B B repeat itself?

Anyway, I thought I'd share that as a) it seems quite good so far and I love its simplicity and b) I was hoping for some constructive criticism, advice etc.
