I know there's a lot going on at the moment but that's just the consequences of Covid, and Ukraine. It doesn't mean there's any grand plan to take over the world by the illuminati or lizard people (lol).

Shit just happens, there doesn't have to be anyone or anything which is responsible for it all that you can point to and say "they are causing it". It's a lot more complicated than that. People believe in conspiracy theories because they are mostly lazy and stupid, looking for easy answers, and can't tolerate uncertainty. And it's more comforting for them to believe them rather than accept that random stuff just happens, or think things through rationally. Here on a roulette forum you would think that people are more aware of random events, but apparently not.

I have some acquaintances in life that also tell me the same shit and say that they "do their research", etc. Sorry, but watching only videos that fit your agenda and getting information only through sources which you like, causes confirmation bias and in my book is not a real research.

What conspiracy theorists do, is sprinkle some truth, mixed in with lies. And because you find one thing true, you automatically assume the rest are as well and give them the benefit of the doubt on the subconscious level.

I used to also think that things can't just happen on their own, and that there must be some kind of plan. That's a huge illusion though, not understanding how most things happen organically in life.

After a certain event happens, it is easy to trace it back and see how it "fits the puzzle". Confirmation bias is real and most people who fall prey to conspiracy theories just don't seem to understand that.

I have explored the conspiracy bubble and I want no part of it. I am all for critical thinking, but infowars is no better than CNN imo.
