Japan Quake...........largest ever recorded in Modern times in Japan- 8.9 magnitude.

How delicate and fragile this beautiful planet we all exist on.

Once again, the 'Rock' that we all work, eat, sleep, socialize, play, and breath on,
reminds Us, how powerful a force it can be, when things start to move.

Our time here is so short, when measured against the time past that the earth took to form into this 'Solid' sphere, yet in really terms, its no more solid in form, structure, and to a lesser degree-shaped, than Ur average bowl of fruit standing on Ur kitchen Work-surface.

Today, lives where cut short, and homes & businesses destroyed, in this latest of a series of Quakes and aftershock in the East Region.

The pictures of the Following Tsunami are harrowing, and shocking to view on our screens.

But its the 'Rock', re-forming and taking on new shapes, as the Crust Plates slip and slid underneath our feet, continuously.

I feel for All those affected, Not just in this Quake, but the New Zealand one too,.......and in ALL ares of the world affected by such naturals disasters.

For those of humanity who are left behind, we should remember those loves ones lost, rebuild our towns, cities, infrastructure, and begin once again, to eke out our short time aboard our Fragile Mother-ship.

Fripper

I really feel for all of them down there, I don't know all the destruction yet but it's a disaster.

As I have understood a wave is heading towards north america as well?

This is for the suffering people  :-*
All i'm doing is living my life.

My condolences and prayers go out to the Japanese people and to all people affected by this horrendous disaster.Yet another blow to our pacific region.

Just like the Chch EQ I was seeing tv pictures within seconds of this event and the tsunami aerial shots are the first ever recorded in such detail. In Chch the tv studios of two channels were in the midst of it all and Japan is a very advanced electronic society.

I am told the physics of this is astonishing. Wavelength of the tsunami is 100miles and it travels at 500mph. Because the wavelength is so great ( visualise a sine wave) the ocean depth means little and the energy travels vast distances without much energy loss. The Pacific Tsunami a few years ago vividly demonstrated that principle.

I feel for all these people and it seems we are in a phase of substantial planetary geological and climate activity. Wake up everyone!

Life is not passive it is dramatically active, and the really important lesson we need to take on board is to change our complacency, and get real. This is the largest EQ in Japanese recorded history! Well actually that is only 140 years and a micro blink in geological time.

The seabed shifted 15m in a quantum shift.

Do you not think when you see the plate intersections along the Japanese coast that they must have experienced hundreds/thousands of such earthquakes and events that have shaped their islands over millions of years as they drift as a continent.

These are the packets of energy that make massive change to the planetary surface and to our surface upon which we live. We need to respect and understand Nature so much more and for example not build on the side of Vesuvius.

Remember the wipeout of the Minoan civilisation on Crete in the Mediterranean Sea. That was probably latest research tells us, the end of Atlantis, a volcanic  explosion of one of the Greek Islands.

Soon after this on the other side of the planet a massive volcanic explosion formed Lake Taupo in NZ. The Romans saw the evidence of this with vast cloud and climate change for several years after, just like Krakatoa not so long ago.

We live in/on/within constant change and need to adjust our comfort perspective.

It is a dynamic world we live in and we need to be realistic in terms of our attitudes and understanding and the way we live our lives. Gratitude for our good fortune number one and caring for all humanity- because we are all related!

I know its off topic but these big events can have lessons for us from big to small scale.

Oh well another Red Cross Charity to contribute to!

PS : This is also very important. I am not suggesting at all that we rush around in a frenzied alarmed state. Far from it. Our mental health requires that sometimes some relative isolation, peace and quiet is essential

I am told that one of the first pieces of advice given to those in Mental Hospitals/ Healing Centres is to stop watching the news or reading the papers. Information overload sometimes. It is just to be aware of the vastness of Nature and wonder!

Bless all those in need and in suffering.

    Dear chris,

A powerful earthquake hit of the northeast coast of Japan Friday. The 8.9 magnitude quake--the largest ever recorded--triggered a massive tsunami that wiped out whole buildings and has reportedly already claimed hundreds of lives. As aftershocks continue to rumble beneath the ocean, tsunami watches and advisories have been issued for major stretches of the Pacific, including the west coasts of North and South America--large waves have already reached Hawaii.

With several communities in Japan devastated, and many others throughout the Pacific currently evacuating their coastal areas, the time to help is now. In addition to the purchase of the non-profit website, TsunamiRelief.com, GoldenPalace.com has already committed in excess of $100,000 to benefit those in need of assistance. We encourage our players to join us in our efforts to help in any way they can.

Visit TsunamiRelief.com to find a list of charitable organizations where you can make your donation to help in the relief effort underway in the wake of this terrible disaster.

Any amount is appreciated.

Condolences and prayers from VE.

Yesterday I was with the wife and we say the massive ocean wave which hit japan, and it spooked us. A lot. We live almost in front of the caribbean shores.

May loads of relief go to those in need right now.

And it is said that earth is rotating "faster" (some micro-secs)
and the isle of Honshu has moved about 8 feet

What IÂÃ,´m interested in is:

Did anyone notice that his kind to play roulette is more sufficient or worse than before?
That calculation of VB is more wrong than right?
That RNGs had problem just before or after the quake?

any comments would be grat.

Thx
