I have been trying to come up with a progression that will compliment a new bet selection I have been working on. So far through the spins that I have looked at I have not seen my selection lose more then 12 bets in a row betting on an even chance. I bet in series of 3 so that means I have not seen it lose 4 series in a row YET.

What is a safe progression to use for this? I am not looking to risk a lot of units or I would just use a Marty...

An example, because it might help more....

xxx.....next series bet xyy
yyx.....this series would have won on the second spin.

so for no more then 4 losing series it would look like this..

xxx....bet xxy
yyx....bet xxx lost series
yyy....bet xyx  lost series
yxy....bet yyy  lost series
xxy....won 3rd bet of series

What is the best way to try and grind out a profit like this? Please put forward all suggestions and I will test them against the bet selection.

If I am not explaining myself well please let me know and I will try and clarify what is misunderstood.

Hi Big EZ,

As you're betting in series of 3, you could try not increasing your stakes until after each series. For example, if you win all 3 or 2 out of 3 there's obviously no need to increase, but if you lose 2 out of 3, try increasing by 1 unit for the next series, and if you lose all 3, increase by 2 units. With care, this can get you out of trouble most of the time, but don't keep increasing stakes if you hit the sequence from hell.

The trouble is that knowing your maximum run of consecutive losses doesn't really help much when it comes to staking (unless you want to use a marty and the house limit allows it). You really need a wider knowledge of the kinds of losses which can occur over a longer sequence of spins. You might lose 12 in row and then win a couple then lose another 6, then win 1 and lose another 5 etc...

Bayes thanks for the reply.

I do not bet the whole series of 3, I only bet until there is a win. If the first bet hits then I do not make the other 2 bets. If the second bet wins I do not make the 3rd bet.

After analyzing my data I have found that back to back 3 series losses do not happen very often, but they do happen. And to lose 3 series of 3 only happened 2 times in my testing.

Most of the wins in the series come on the first or second bet.

This is one of the harder sessions with a 3 3series loss in it. Bust most of the sessions have been easier then this in testing. i am hoping this visualization helps...

Here's a thought.  It may too aggressive for you, but it may also stimulate some ideas on your part.

Play for either 2 losses or 3 wins.

Progression is:

If lose          Bet            If win 3 times
-2                  1                     +1   (No need to play this one 3 times)
-6                  2                     +2   (No need to play this one 3 times)
-12                3                       0   (+3 if you play it 3 times)
-20                4                       0   (Must win 3 times from here on)
-34                7                      +1
-58                12                    +2
-98                20                    +2
-164              33                    +1
-274              55                    +1

If you win then lose or win, win then lose keep playing the same level until you either win 3 more time than you lose or lose 2 more times than you win.

You can go further with the progression if you want or you can stop earlier in the progression than 55.

Just an idea for you to think about.
