I was thinking they acted like catfish.  Bottom feeders.  They eat all the nonsense that falls to the bottom of a lake.  They spit out the same kind of garbage.  And one has definitely been spitting out a lot of garbage lately. 

But "troll" is much more accurate.  I abbyciate your style.
