I may "step up" as Still put it........

Two minutes and I leave for Church........

Gang

As I said somewhere, I encountered a huge draw down (not loss) in my testing of a baccarat system.

Much thought is going into how to get back to even in the least amount of deals.  I have an idea I've never seen published and--if it works--it will make winning a bit easier.  No "Holy Grail" but a way to recover nicely.  And--if it works--it will be a truly worthwhile contribution.

Again, it will reduce the games of roulette/baccarat to a low-paying part-time job.

Do you want that?

Or excitement?

Can't have both.

Always interested in your stuff, Sam.  Remember, what is one's part time income may be another's full time one.  Just a matter of chip size.

Thanks to all........

I will give my initial thoughts.  Bear in mind, this is in the "thinking in the shower" and "while falling to sleep" stage.  I'm just musing...

You know how sickening it feels to be flying along--your progression just winning like crazy--and then you hit the wall.  Get the run from hell.  Let's say you're sitting at 325 Euro--which I was--and everything goes against you.  You can't think!  You bet wrong and the wrong amount.  Pretty soon you are down to 160 Euro.  That hurts!  I went from an investment of 200 to 325 making .5 bets.  That's a net win of 250 bets!  Now I'm thinking I must win a net of 330 bets to get back to my 325 level.

So I come up with this idea:  Piggy Back Betting.

I have always noticed that things go right for a time and then they turn.  I can almost tell when they are going to turn as they give little warnings.  By the same token, I feel I can trust the good times for a short time.

So I start again at the 1 Euro level; should have started at .5, but I didn't.  As you might expect, things started going great right off the bat.

I use a "+1 on a loss and -1 on a win" progression.  I was at step 25 in my progression which is a 17.5 Euro bet each time.  I simply cannot think at that level.

So I'm betting one Eruo and things are looking good.  My line looks like this, but not the whole line:

1
2
3
4
5
*
*
25.

I decide to just toss in a number and see if I can win it.  I pick 10, which is 7 Euro.  I win that bet.  Bear in mind, this did not eliminate my primary bet of 1E.  I bet 8 in total.  I won.  I scratched the 5 off my list and went for 6.  I lost.  Now I wrote a six next to my six.  I am flat betting for the next two sixes to win:

6  6

If I lose a six:

6  6  6

And I bet until I eliminate those three sixes.  Then onward.

I went from 160 up to either 220 or 230 and I can't remember which.  That was three hours into my game and I was mentally and physically beat.

So the goal is for next week is to bet .50 per run and when I "feel" things are going well, re-introduce the progression as described above.  Will it work?  Don't know.

I have learned that at Dubin, things either move very quickly or very slowly.  Either way is bad.  But for a while, I'll play when people are usually at the table.  That gives me the ten extra seconds I need to bet correctly.

Long and windy, I know.  But you know my goal.  Screen shots will tell the tale, good or bad.

So you may know where I started: 218 and change Euros.

What the (expletive deleted) is this???

I have to tell you, this threw me!  I lost my place in the progression and truly hosed up.  Must decide what to do as I saw this three times tonight and messed up each time.

Anyone ever had this happen??  NEVER happened when I was dropping from 325E to 218E, so I don't think Dublin is trying to cheat me.

This has been a tough trot for ol' Sam.  When they refused my bet that one time, I got horribly confused and dropped 100 E before I knew what was happening.  I have clawed my way back to where I was when I wanted to claw my way back.

They did it again today, but I was ready for them this time.

You talk about stress!  This is work, FLATman!!

Allllllllllllrighty!!

Had a very good session at Dublin.  No bets taken down.  I "Hit--won 52,65E--and ran".

This idea may very well have promise.  What I am doing is finding a "spot play" within my normal run of deals.  This play seems to win far more than it loses.   I bet five Euro each time it comes up.  Won a total of 15E that way.  The rest was my normal .5 play.  1&1/2 shoes at most.

Well, this is nice!

Up another 36.1 Euro.  Only another 16.63 Euro to total recovery.

I close out at 340.44 Euro.  The dealer is sick at heart for losing so much to me today!

Shall I continue?

Two days ago I had 218.36 and today I have 340.44.  Profit of 122.08.

Frankly, doesn't that beat playing on a machine that pays your nothing?

Still?

So my profit for today, August 14, 2012 was around 163 Euro.  And I worked for it!!

I think I am going to abandon this thread if no one wants to talk to me.  From here on it I would only be bloviating!

This idea is very closely tied to what I'm doing at BV with the bot.  Finding an opportune time to jump in with a "spot play".  Mine is five times my normal bet.  I suppose one has to develop a G.U.T. feeling for when things are coming your way.

Did I "step up"?  Anyone?

Said I wouldn't post anymore on this thread....BUT....I discovered why my bets were being rejected by Dublin.  They have a thing called "doppelganger" and I accidentally put my chips on it.  You must bet a minimum player/banker bet to bet the doppelganger.

My mistake.  Now I put a post-it note over those areas.  Can't see it-can't bet it!
