Proofreaders2000 just post systems with short lines of writings then move on to next topic.
50 to 70% of this board is sometimes just with this worthless topics.

Feels more like spam then contribution.

he tests many systems
if they fail they go in the storage
if they win he keeps testing them
I don't see anything wrong
He is the most working tester here

There isn't anything wrong per-say............but I do think there is an alteration that the Administration could make to Proof's topic update.

I love reading all the Methods that he tests, and am very grateful that someone can dedicate such a vast amount of time to the forum and the art of Roulette in this way,
but what we could possibly do with, is a Recent topic update section at the head
of the Forum main board.

This could then open up a separate Recent Posts listing just for everything that Proofreader has recently done.

Its just, with so many topics on the go at the moment forum wise, the total coverage of the excellent stuff Proofreader does, is pushing other Recent Posts out and off the Leader board.

Its not like its a league competition here is it, we all want to read the latest that is going on is ALL the sections.

Can ADMIN have a good look at this, and if coding is involved, then get a PHP coder in to complete the task?

For my personal taste, is Proofreaders testing of low value, BUT that it not the same as it is spam or not some would find use for it.
We can not judge the posting according to the way we want it ( if we are EGO or not  ).

To get the forum usefull for all, it have to be a lot of different ways and posting some of us not likes suit others. We decide our self what to read.

I find now problem finding the post I like to read. I click so I get all unread post, When I am ready I mark all as read, and then I never see them more.

2) In the LOWER-LEFT corner, click on "Ignore Boards Options"

3) Tick "Proofreaders' board", hit change profile button, see recent posts again.



I for one am glad of Proof's work. It requires time and effort to canvass the many threads in the forums to filter the systems he kindly collects for the fellows. I say "Thank you Proof", from fellow poster to poster: your work is appreciated

Thanks VIC.....my only gripe was the flooding of "recent posts" area at the bottom. I use it to catch up and was missing stuff which was shunted off the end, sometimes within a 1 day period. This cures this problem well.
I had the same problem when Ignatus was having a post-fest.

Thanks victor. The other option was to ignore all posts from a user, but then you miss out on anything important proof may post. I'll see if I can find a better solution.

Ok now I've applied a mod where the "recent post" section is now "recently updated topics". So the recent activity show ONLY WHICH TOPICS ARE UPDATED INSTEAD OF EVERY SINGLE NEW POST. This will make it much easier to follow individual threads.

If this is not enough, you have the option to either ignore specific boards or users, but then you can miss chunks of information.

Please provide feedback on this.

Any chance You can drag this Newly adapted "Recently Updated Topics" up to the Top of the Main board please?

Would save scrolling down, as I, and I suspect, lots of others do, to the bottom of the page every single time I enter the forum.

Its not a biggy, but would look like a fresh approach to the forum
