I think the high wager was supposed to be 4 units?

AD

Sorry,

Mis-read the challenge.

GLC
In my case it doesn't matter.  I'm both!

Carsch

I agree, AD that the sample is not enough (of course).

Actually, last night i did a test on a different set of outcomes using the method i described last (using a parlay), and it didn't work as well............where my other method used first worked much much better. I guess the idea is to find something that works more or less consistently.

Here is the other set of W/L outcomes i used. You guys may want to check  and see how your progressions might go with this one.

Profit: -1
Highest bet: 3 units
Lowest point: -1
Largest drawdown: -10

Thanks for posting the system, Dennis. :)

Carsch,

Every system has a certain sequence that it works well on and others that it doesn't do so well on.

Usually, if a positive progression works on a sequence of spins, any positive progression will work.

A good test of a betting strategy is to find a bet selection strategy that tanks on a certain sequence and then try that sequence of spins with different betting strategies.

Also, try a really good sequence of spins and see if your bet selection stays steady with them.

We do that quite a bit on Atlantis' systems trying to find the ideal bet system that works best over the largest sequences of spins.

True!

That's the idea, what i'm trying to do here, George............in a fun way though. :)

I'm working with that too. ;)

That sounds interesting. What's the link for that page?  I'm still discovering this board.  ;D

ADulay

Uh, guys.  Wait up.

You're not playing against the roulette wheel here.   You don't know what the actual table bets are.

What you're "testing" here is STRICTLY MONEY MANAGEMENT.

You can test nothing else as all you know are the outcomes after the fact and you know nothing about what the bet was!

So, if you think you're testing "your" system with these plays, think again, it's merely your money management that's being put to the challenge here.

That's why I asked, earlier in the thread, about where these decisions came from.   What if they were dice bets?  Baccarat?  Blackjack?  Sic-Bo?

It does matter!

However, it is a good test for everyone's money management system for sure.

AD

Carsch

Yep, you're right AD..............this is only testing money management.

That was my intention.  :)
