I was going to post this in the 'Grassroots 1 2 3, A Dozens Idea' thread after reading some of the latest requests for members to publish their results, however I decided it was worthy of a new topic - I hope you agree.

I assume this forum was set up to publicly discuss/design/tweak roulette systems and strategies and for members to take away ideas to test for themselves before committing real cash in their B+M/online casino, be it single/double zero wheels with either live or RNG dealers.

One important question is why play roulette?
Is it just for fun - to pass the time of day - earn extra money (and if so how much) - do you like the challenge?
Whatever it is do not lose sight of that reason otherwise how do you know if you have succeeded.

My personal goal is to find a second income, outside of my full time job, to help pay the bills and buy those little extras that make life more fun for me and my family and along the way enjoy the challenge of trying to beat this game. (If you are interested my detailed goal is to increase any of my bankrolls by at least 5% each time I play - in my posts I mention I test with a £20 starting bank and low 10p stakes until I have the confidence in a system to play for that real second income).

I've tested many ideas from this forum with both fun and real money and that is the key - use these systems yourself and pick the ones that suit your method and place of play so you can make an informed decision if this is the one that will make that difference!

I feel we would all get much more out of this forum if we use other peoples results as a guideline only and not as a confidence builder - confidence can only come with your own testing and playing - don't ride other peoples wagon, be in charge of your own.

I fully appreciate time can be against us at the best of times and some of us are lucky enough to have access to all the above wheels and are able to gamble with very low stakes and without government or local authority restrictions. Each member here is unique and one system or strategy is not going to work for all wheels hence the idea of picking up ideas that may work for your style and location of play.

Brain empty now so all constructive comments and observations welcomed.

Thanks for the message keepontryin - hope you had a good Christmas break.

Not sure why this thread has not attracted a few more comments?

Hey Nick,

As far as I can tell, there are 2 types of members on this forum :

1- Those, like you, who are looking for a way to beat the game for long-term for profit

2- Those who want to socialize

Type #1 are easy to spot as they post results/instructions with complete transparency because they view all pertinent info as progress toward the goal. They also tend to test quickly until the method fails, to save time for themselves and other members.

Type #2 are equally easy to spot, as they are doing everything but what is listed above to describe Type #1 including evasive/elusive answers to basic questions, lack of testing their own system, lashing out at other members who ask the most basic questions about the method, sharing only part of the method (but not the complete system), etc.

The question I always ask myself about a members post is : "does this add value to the forum"? If so, then I keep following the thread; if not, then I pass.

At this point, I will follow any thread from GLC, Ignatus, Proofreader, etc as they have all proven themselves to provide value to the forum on a consistent basis. If we ever find a solution to this puzzle called Roulette, it will be, in large part, because of their invaluable contributions to this effort.

No agenda.....

No attention seeking....

Just valuable information. Period!

***One last quick note on this issue: long threads with no member showing profit are a huge Red Flag!!!***

Thanks for your input thelaw.

Your 'socialising' point makes sense now, I hadn't considered that one - I wish I had that much time to waste hence I don't have a Facebook or Twitter account - where do people get the time for all that stuff?

I'm new here. Some of you already know me a little.

I play casino games for the extra income and also for the challenge of breaking them.

Although I am not originally a Roulette player, I have found a lot of good people here discussing the game and methods. New ideas that I didn't had and that is bringing me closer to a style of play that suits me better than before. And it is really fun.

I do know and understand that these are made to part us from our money. But please, people, stop attacking others becose of what they try to do. If it does not suit you, just go do something else. Just leave us alone, and leave us with our fun.

This is a hobby. We are trying to break an unbreakable game. We are not trying to find the cure for cancer here. Its only a game.

To everybody that think that it is impossible: Please get out of the the way of those who are trying.

Nick-the-Greek

Thanks SimonZed1 - good points well made.

Facebook and Twitter are for the moaners and groaners - work with us to try and beat this game and enjoy that journey with hopefully a bit of extra spending money on the way.

That's great for you Simon.......but understand that some of us are here to try to beat the game for profit.

I understand that you like to use the forum for socializing, and that's great, but I'm sure you can understand the frustration from some members that are here for a different purpose.

I do agree about just ignoring members who just want attention, but we also must judge those same members who post on legit threads. These are sometimes seen as personal attacks, when they are really just holding someone accountable for their behavior on this forum.
