Progression bets are nothing more than different size bets on different spins. You could get lucky and win big, or unlucky and lose even more.

double dozen progressions

So my question here is this. I've been playing around with playing double dozens
where, once you lose, you increase your bet 1 unit until you come back to
the previous profit, and go back to 1 unit.

I am wondering if this is the optimum progression for this.  Basically it
requires 90 units to get up to a 10 unit bet if warranted. So if I can bet
$2 units, that is $180. I consider that high, and I'm not sure if that's the
top.

I'm wondering about maybe increasing 1 unit after a win. A loss? Not sure.

Anyone smarter than me on this?

Thanks

Havent really seen much on double dozen progressions except for the grassroots thread. And if there is anything to learn from that thread is pretty much that long double dozen progression should be avoided.

Like the first part of the thread is all about a quick "hit & run" strategy. Pulling off one (hopefully) large single bet and at worst go (double) 1, 3, 9 and perhaps 27. The idea was that dozen 1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3 rarely form, so sitting down at the table & wait for 1,2,3,1 to appear and then bet againt it continue'ing with the 1,3,9 progression. Too risky for most people & understandable not what most people wanted or is particular fun to play.

Thus the thread turned into trying to find a more longterm playing strategy. Mostly ended up in continually playing against a single sequence like dozen 1,2,3 again and again. 123 being the original pattern but also using the other 5 unique dozens sets like 321, 231, etc. Some sticking to one set some changing. Pretty much all fairly succesfull but not particular fast. Its here that progression 1, 3, 9 was cut down to just 1,3 as many tests suggested that getting to the 3rd bet (9) happens so rarely aka 1 in 30 sets so why even take that expensive a risk? However most people still plays in sets of 3 to "ensure" the 2/3 chance of when a actual 123123123 happen .. to hit it off-sync. Not that this garantees anything and 123123123 WILL happen at some point. Thankfully with just 1,3 progression is not that big of a loss as if it had been the gaping hole of 1,3,9.

In the end of the thread there is even talk about being succesfull simply by flatbettting the same pattern continually. Again mostly just talk but i guess it supports your "add 1 unit untill back in profit" progression

I did try this short term with some success but moved on from the idea and was lost in the vault you may say
