I play roulette on one site that shows winners including roulette, blackjack etc.   (Not individual games)    Very few pass through for roulette winners but lots of Blackjack winners.   Considering sometimes there are thousands playing roulette (it shows numbers) is it easier to win at blackjack.
Some of these winnings are in the many thousands whereas for roulette it is generally a lot less.

Anyone`s experiences.

The basics: Seen from a roulette players point of view Blackjack is basicly just like playing EC 50% (aka Red/Black) constantly. Forget about the little math there is .. either you win & double up or you loose your bet. And yes you do get get that rare Blackjack hand from time to time that wins you a near pointless little bit more .. however not always the same & do beware that some casinos pay less than 3:2 back. Then there is double up & double down of cause .. but probably shouldnt use them anyway.

The Bet: Its here you need to be stong & balanced & we run into our old friend mr. Martingale mentioned everywhere so beware. Whatever progression or high/low or steps system you chose there do mind the size of your bankroll matters & watch out for those long streaks of losses. Make sure to set yourslef some rules like "max bet is x% of bankroll" & a stoploss limit. This is obviously where the "danger" is and the casino count on you falling in.

Live VS Rng: Deck size actually matters. Its no secret that the dealer usually wins if a lot of small cards show & the player usually wins if a lot of high/face cards happen. If you ever played blackjack with friends & a single deck you may have come to a point where you have seen a lot of small cards as the deck only have so few cards you guess that many high cards would happen. This is the basic of cardcounting & casino's counter this by shuffling a lot of decks together. Now im not suggesting that you go learn some complex card counting system, (even though it isnt illegal, but casinos abviously dislike & can kick you out), as i personally think its a waste of time. However i do find it importent that you know cards "swings" so you understand the signs of a long streak of losses is on the way. Like you log into you table & notice that the dealer just busted 10 times in the last 12 hands? Lucky streak? Dont forget no skill is involved of the dealer that is just playing by the book. In a situation like that id either play very small bets or run away screaming. This also means that its virtually impossible to say if RNG is "cheating" or not. I mean how many decks does it shuffle? 10? 100? 1000? then it isnt so odd if you just lost 30x times in a row. One way or the other id stay clear of RNG unless you just want to play for funmoney/playcash.

Helpcards/guides & statistics: Casino has actually been known to hand out "cheatcards" to lure in potential punters to the blackjack tables. Aka a help card from where you can read what the statistical right thing to do in a given situation. Now most of these are actually correct & can boost your chances near to 50% and lowering the house edge to virtually nothing. Dosnt hurt to have one, especially in some of the more rare odd hands that you dont see often. That being said being said i do stray from the help card in some situations.

Strategy: like i fairly often stray from the helpcard when it comes to the point of "should i stay or hit on 12+". According to the stats i should clearly "hit" hoping to get something closer to 21 but with the risk of going bust. Now i tend to do this less and less, because sure the hand isnt high, but the dealer is "forced" to always deal beyond 16 & i find that more often than not the dealer busts anyways so  may as well wait it out. Most live online places also kindly show you if the dealers last 10-15 hands & mark them if they busted. So i guess you could say changed my playstyle to play towards the dealer goes bust by keeping an eye on the hands & when the dealer hasnt had a bust in a handfull of hands, i start with the larger bets. Not that it garantees anything as ive seen plenty of long dealer win streaks. Dosnt hurt if you win a couple of hands the normal way while waiting for the dealer to go bust. Now im sure there is a 100 people who will comment how wrong i am & should stick to the help card (especially casinomanagers) so ill just quickly mention that this is just how i play it.

Physical: if you do plan going into a real casino, then dont forget the usual stuff like dont tuch the chips untill the dealer is done & perhaps learn the handsignals from a youtube video or something.

Should you play it? Well, if you like roulette EC bets & can keep your head when loosing small progression then id say go ahead. Do keep in mind that the people you see winning big must either have a giant bankroll and/or is an moron 12 steps into a martingale. There is also a bunch of stats & odd hands to get familiar with if you want to sink your teeth into that. However if you absolutely hate EC bets & bank manangement then id probably stay clear. That being said roulette is probably even worse then, but at least more fleksible in some way. Still much much better than poker that seem to be all about finding a table with as few people af possible & then either bully everyone after a win or sit at a large people table & wait for 2 hours for a single good hand. Also much better than falling asleep drooling on your keyboard while waiting for 600 dead slot spin & only to meet a minigame where you "win" options to degrade you bonus into absolutely nothing. Id stick with blackjack & roulette, thank you  :P

Hi Thunder Pants,
Thanks for that very lengthy run down on Blackjack.   After reading that, yes I will stick to losing on roulette.

Cheers,    Brian

Thanks! Hehe, yes i guess i got a bit carried away there. Nothing wrong with Blackjack, but it does feel a bit restricted i guess. Not that you cant make money on it, infact there is tournaments sometimes, not about beating  eachother like in poker but to see who can make the largest bankroll. However compared to roulette with its many options & with a payout as big as 36:1 its probably a little too stiff.
