In general i dont like playing online poker. Not that i dislike poker but i dont like taking real cash from other people. Lots of books written on the subject and we are way past poker being a "new" exciting thing so do beware that many players wont get fooled and that your bluffing is just getting you into their "trap". Aka you cant base your progress on the other player reactions .. is he calling instantly (indicating a winning/great hand).. or waiting several seconds to call/raise (indicating weak/bad/average hand that may be bluffed folded). Because the whole agressive vs conservative player has been tested, documented, exploited and shown to the world.

Anyways, If we was back like 10-ish years ago the core idea of bluffing online wasnt just mindlessly overbetting everyone else. The key was to SHOW a winning hand first at a table and then from there on bet untill everyone else folds .. in the majority of the hands. Bluffing in all the hands is a bit to obvious. However should you get another "monster" hand make sure to show it as well, to keep "the show" going. However this have several conditions: find a table with conservative players. Small player no table is preferred for multiple reasons .. hard to bluff multiple people .. you can easily play for hours & never get a winning hand worth showing (aka winning with a pair dont really scare anyone) .. many players means more chances of other players picking up a good/winning hand late game. Particular with online players seem to "magicially" hit that full house or similar on the last 2 cards countering any bluff on large no tables.

However today how knows ..people slowplaying a good hand to lure you into betting .. or whatever .. as they know that we know that they know about knowing is quite likely. Just make sure to never play with more than you can affford as by now players have more experience in sucking you dry than Dracula.
