For one, under the US Constitution, the American government may not shut down businesses or issue stay-at-home orders, force people to wear masks and social distancing.
Under the Constitution, neither the nation or state governments may invade your private property, your body and force vaccines or any medical treatment upon the people. This is how the president needs to speak, and he is not doing so.

If the president cherished the Constitution, when the American state governors violated the Constitution, which most did, the president would have ordered his justice department to have them arrested at once for treason. He would also have had his justice department arrest all judges and Supreme Court justices for treason who did not issue injunctions stopping the shut down orders.

Did the founders of America and many other brilliant thinkers before them intend that the rights of the people can be suspended if it is flu season, or perhaps if there is a hurricane or some other emergency? If so, why didnt they say so? Were they so stupid they forgot?

The answer is no. They were well aware of disease epidemics, which were much worse in past times than they are today. However, they realized that a free society requires absolute limits on government power. Otherwise, tyrants always find an excuse to take away the peoples rights.

That's not Trump doing all that. He's against all that.

What I don't approve of is his inaction with some points. He's not doing enough. But no matter what he does, he's screwed both ways.

I see Trump as being walked over and overwhelmed. The guy has a shitload going on. But still, there are things that can be handled better. Like for example, the CHAZ crap. He just demanded the governor do something. I would have made an executive order to take control of that shit the moment it became clear people were in danger, and that residents in that area wanted action.

Biden's whole side is far worse. They were actively encouraging it, and the whole defund police crap.

So Trump isn't great. But still, he's a far better option than Biden and the people controlling him.

He is the president. It is his duty to take appropriate actions. Remember actions speak louder than words.

If I were an US citizen, I would probably vote for Trump as well to avoid or lessen the impeding doom.

He should stop the illegal riotings and use the military to restore order.

Government is the greater good. Optimal police state is greater good.

And Moxy, it is almost impossible to stop this virus. But it is just a virus, not much worse than a typical flu. We could lock down the whole world for a month with nobody going anywhere, and it could very easily just start up again. Lockdown is not the answer. Lockdown is a fraud to destroy the middle class, among other things.

Don't blame Trump. He's about on par with the rest of the world. The US has had the most results because it has done the most testing.

They did a side by side comparison of two Scandinavian countries and the one with minimal lockdown and lenient social distancing practices testing the herd immunity route way back when suffered way higher contraction rate and mortality then the other country with strict lockdown and rigid practices.

This was no accident.  Americans are entitled and glib hence the number one ranking.

On the whole, I find Americans immature, arrogant and stupid. Not all. It's a culture thing. They're COWBOYS who think they're hot shit. Some are really as dumb as a post, probably because they watch too much TV. It's more the young ones though. This and the USA international policy is why half the world hates America.
