Dear Friends,

Many of the systems on this forum begin by tracking for short or long periods looking for a certain event so we can use that situation for a bet selection.  Some think that betting on sleepers is the best way to go and others that numbers hitting the most is the way to go.  Others feel that since roulette is totally random, neither is better than the other.  Stop tracking, pick at random and you'll get the same results.  Who's right?

I want to present a test done by our friend TurboGenius in which he tried to test this idea on one of his systems to see if tracking made any difference verses random.

He has a system that he called his possible Holy Grail system in which he bets sleepers.  I'm not presenting his system here so I won't go into the mechanics of it.  But, his optimum bet selection is to track until all numbers have shown and then begin betting on the number that has shown the least.  If more than 1 number, then he chooses the lowest number and begins betting on it.

He decided to play his system without the tracking, rather just pick a number at random and play it.  He decided to just start with the number 1 then 2 then 3 etc... and see how it compared to picking numbers based on his bet selection method.

Here is a chart he published showing the results of picking numbers at random.

Doesn't look so good, does it?

Big difference.

You can come to your own conclusion regarding this little test.  Granted, it doesn't include enough spins to be conclusive without a doubt, but it does seem to indicate that tracking for sleepers may not be as silly an idea as some would have us believe.

Cheers,

George
In my case it doesn't matter.  I'm both!
