Odds and payouts are different things. If either the odds or payouts don't change, then the result is the same - eventual loss.

Stretching Oscar's Grind

This is a bet method that can withstand some really bad sessions.
There is a session out there that can defeat it, so set your stop loss and stick with it.

Intro:  Oscar's Grind is a positive progression.  It's a +1 on a win progression.  Stay at current bet level on all losses.  Never bet more than is necessary to reach +1 and start over after every new bank high point.

To stretch this bet method, we just wait more than 1 win to increase our bet size.  You can wait 2 3 5 10 or even 20 wins before increasing your bet size by +1 unit.

The longer you wait, the more this system approaches a flat bet so you decide what works best for you.  I personally like to wait for 10 wins before increasing my bet size.

Many variations are optional.  You can increase by more than 1 unit, say 2 units for each increase.  Or you can increase like a martingale 1-2-4-8- etc... or fibonacci 1-2-3-5-8-13 etc...  Be warned, these last 2 can escalate your bets rapidly compared to the others.

One variation I like is to start at 5 wins before increasing and add 5 more wins before increasing again.  That means I win 5 times at 1 unit and I must win 10 times at 2 units before increasing bet size.  15 times at 3 units and 20 times at 4 units.

As you can see, you can tailor it to suit your likes.

It still has a bite.  A long series of WLLLWLLLLLWLLWLLLLLWLLLLLW etc... can still cause you major headaches, but with a big enough bank and patience, you can overcome some pretty nasty drawdowns and still come up with your new bankroll high point.

Try it and tell me what you think,

In my case it doesn't matter.  I'm both!

George,

Do you wait for 5 CONSECUTIVE wins ( LWWWWW )  before increasing the bet, or just 5 total wins.

Big EZ

Crown,

The way I understand it is when you reach 5 wins, they dont have to be in a row.
Quitting while your ahead is not the same as quitting

Correct, the wins do not have to be consecutive.
