To all my friends,

The doctor has confirmed that we cannot attempt the heart surgery until she is completely recovered from her cold.  Too great a risk for pneumonia and other complications.

Once she is well we will reschedule.

I'll let everyone know the new date when we know what it is.

This is my first visit to this section of the forum. Looking forward to hearing that your daughter has made a speedy recovery. My thoughts and prayers are with you my friend.

My heartfelt thanks to all of you for your prayers and warm thoughts for my daughter.

Unfortunately, her cold only got worse and so they have cancelled her surgery until she is fully recovered. 

We have a tentative date for Mar 31.  Hopefully she will stay well.

Gracie goes in on Wed, Mar 30 for pre-op testing and misc other things. 

Her surgery will be on Thur morning. 

So far she's well, no colds or congestion this time so it looks like the surgery will happen as schedluled.

Al's poetic words reminded me of a verse from the Bible.  Psalm 30:5b  "...weeping may last for the night, but joy comes in the morning."  I believe that with all our prayers this verse will prove true.

I must say, I never dreamed I would get this much support on a forum dedicated to gambling. 

You just never know where you'll find support for life's trials.
