How about uploader?
Or Video provider?

PS: We could do with a comedy section.

Always like a good laugh.

Just steel the ones that are posted over at VLS.

Those can be added as "ranks". Only if people actually request them.

You qualify!

Why even bother with stars (shades of the classroom), ranks or other competitive stuff based on posts?

Can't see the point. Really, I can't.

I wasn't aware that posting on this forum is a competitive act.  :-\

If  it is then I would prefer not to post at all.

Think about it -- it's not the number that's important -- it's the QUALITY of posts.

Better to have stars as recognition for quality but good luck with that!! Quality is such a subjective assessment, although most of us would recognise a rubbish post. (No. Not like this one  ;) ).

Question:  does it REALLY matter how many posts per person? I think not...

End of lecture.

VLS

Hello esoito...

Remember we strive for quality and for a person to be with us up to his 100th or above message, there's a certain standard to be met (i.e. not being reported many times).

So in some sense, those reaching a high post count here, should be at least obeying the basic  forum rules, and the rules are guidelines to enforce productivity.

Yep. Good point. Some stars for that answer.  :)

But... (there's usually a 'but', isn't there?)...but, theoretically,  someone could produce 100 posts of drivel, offend nobody, observe all forum rules and still end up with lots of stars. Yet absolutely no quality was involved!

Anyway, eternity goes on an on. But I won't. So I'll shut up now and stop being a mildly dissenting pain! LOL

How about we have stars for good content then?

It may be something like the classroom.
But it comes down to self worth.
And appreciation.
Plus a little motivation.

Onya, Thomas.

That is precisely what I'm also saying when making the point about QUALITY of posts (namely, its content, of course) being more important than NUMBERS of posts.

Nice to know I'm not the only Voice in The Wilderness after all... ;)

ThomasGrant

Ok, I think this has been resolved as well.
So it should be taken care of.

I like that idea. There is something similar at the casinomeister forum. Of course, it's open to abuse, but then so is everything.  ::)
