Just want to remind everyone, since Moderation is pretty light these days, since Paul and MAx left the fray.

When U start a  Topic (New Topic, click and go)... U the Originator, are THAT TOPICS Moderator.

ITS AUTOMATIC.

Its the way things are run, on this type of forum.
So, when U post in someones Topic, and the Originator, who is then called the Topic Moderator,
doesn't like/want/regard/wish to keep, Ur post, don't be surprised if a "Cleaning up" operation is undertaken with Ur comments and posts.

Pls don't take offense.
Its just the way things are.

Its the Posting privilege of the Topic Starter, to keep his/her Topic nice a tidy should they wish to.

Thanx for reading...

and
[reveal]Happy Posting.  :)[/reveal]

I think there is something slightly suspicious about a Topic Moderator, who after making a negative expression about his own work, then goes and deletes the WHOLE BLOODY TOPIC.  :(

As if It did not actually happen in the first place.
Bonkers.

This Place..........
......Its meant to HELP others, then, who may have discovered the same analogy, of a bet/progression, but because the Original Topic no longer exists, will now at some point in the future, lead to wasted time, energy and unnecessary suffering.

Come on, Mr Originator, stop deleting valuable artifacts.
You could have just answered the questions too.

The aftermath discussion would have been quite useful, what U may call a "Debrief"...... learning after the event.

What we have now, it less than nothing, and I never said that sort of expression, ever!  :-\

[reveal]My own rantings, so ignore if anyone is offended.  :-X[/reveal]

Are you talking about REs' progression thread? if so, I totally agree, it should be kept in the archives atleast, if it's a progression then someone else may be able to attach it to something they already have.

Or maybe there is none, and we were just being led on, an invisible progression maybe, has to be, we never saw it!!

He was doing a Charles Hampshire on us LOL
There's only one way forward, follow random, don't fight with it!

Ignore a thread/topic that mentions 'stop loss', 'virtual loss' and also when a list is provided of a progression, mechanical does NOT work!

I have to agree with you 100%.

Even if an idea turns out to be complete junk, somebody somewhere MAY get an idea from it or learn something.  THAT's why we're all here.

Glad you brought it up.

Just want to remind everyone, since Moderation is pretty light these days,

darn, i really have to give up moderating and trying to make this place more friendly place, if
this is a response to my efforts. I spent half a day of my time trying to prevent one guy from getting banned, teaching him how to be friendly, non-abusive  and stuff like this, and then i read:
"moderation is pretty light these days". Great, thanks.

and then this guy Ken, mr J, which looks for ways to make moderation better and talks about it all the time. and this is a response to his efforts as well. great, yes

Chrisbis

Sorry U feel that way Iggiv.

I think Global Mods should receive training on this aspect of Forums watch.

But without doubt, Moderation has become much Lighter.

In some ways, that's very good sign, since it means Ur not having to 'Fire-Fight' all the time.

and, testament to a good result Iggiv.

The more U do, the better U get.

Cheers

thanks but i see moderation is heavier now and more than this: i can see there is a feature with reporting
going straight to mod email

ThomasGrant

I think that the forum is doing ok.
Most of the offensive posts look like they are being dealt with.
Any post that seems a bit dodgy is being reported to the mods.
Moderation rights has given me a few more options.
But I very rarely ever use my mod powers.
Overall, this place is a pleasure to read.
And to post ideas and concepts in.
